  1. Cool! There are not so many guys named Bacchus these days!
  2. I like the look of these, but honestly the pricing is quite a bit above HB offering of similar spec, ime JB-62C for example.. I'm interested to see if they are worth double a Harley Benton JB-62 or 50% more than the 35th anniversary edition. These basses retail around £350 give or take. Anyone took the plunge and bought one?
  3. Pistachio Gelato... my fave.. This bass is rather tasty too!!
  4. Punaise, elle est super belle mon pote!
  5. Already been down that route, only info they could give was a manufacturing date of 1976.
  6. Anyone able to help identify these, they come from a 2X15 cab made by Roost back in the day. Can't seem to find any info on them.
  7. I know my old church was basically using tripod mounted DSLR cameras for this.. worked well and really decent quality. Not as optimal as a PTZ camera, but it's another route.
  8. Fair play, I have also had the same thoughts... I think the thing with this model is that it sits in between some better value models... A bit more money gets you Gotah tuners for example.. like I say QC at this price point can very variable. I think overall though HB stuff is awesome value for money. Out of interest what was the cheaper bass you played that was better?
  9. I'm also returning mine, needs fret levelling. It's neck divey but you know for the price you can't expect the same level of QC or components as Fender or Sire et al. Sometimes you will get a duffer most often it will be fine. I'm not complaining about neck dive ast these prices points.
  10. Something that can be mitigated to some extent with a well padded strap.
  11. Mentioning no names... Cough.. Gold Foil Cough Cough....
  12. Looks fantastic!! Roasting looks proper, and the fret edges?
  13. I think low end lobster was maybe a little bit harsh, I have a shell pink one and maybe I was a bit unlucky. I think I will return it and maybe get the 25th anniversary. Depending of Stews experience
  14. Can you send us the tracking ID so we know when it arrives 😂😂 But seriously, I am considering buying this bass but I am interested to see their approach in terms QC and materials selection, the JB62 I bought is ok, but has some uneven frets and what appears to be a bow in the neck higher up towards these things combined are preventing me from the action where I would like it. The big thing I'm interested in is the weight... My JB62 weighed in at over 4kg which for a poplar body is on the heavy side, as the 25th anniversary firemist is American alder I am concerned it could be heavier!.
  15. 9lbs 14oz approx 4.4kg that's not bad at all considering it is an Alder body, very close to the weight of some of the Poplar models!
  16. I'm tempted to get a second one strung with flats.
  17. Yes definitely let us know your thoughts and especially the weight.
  18. .. this is the Harley Benton JB-62 thread... It's a Harley Benton JB-62 😊
  19. That's what I used, orange silk ones. I have a set of HB flats to try too. I also really like Rotosounds Billy Sheehan's, they were very reasonably priced too ~£17 if I recall, the E string lends it's self well to drop D tuning.
  20. They are ok, a bit rougher to than branded strings, I actually changed them for HB home branded 45's which were a modest improvement.
  21. Lol, daft! However having said that the strings on my PB20 were definitely not D'Addarios, I just checked and this is still the case.
  22. The other thing that surprises me at the price point, is that the decent set of strings they come with, which at this price represents a fair percentage of the overall price!
