I’m presuming so as gaps in the windings in photo’s 2 & 4 are quite significant/more than I thought they would be for flats. Gonna have to get one of those magnifiers. Whoa - talk about buzz kill. It’s just a bit of fun Silvia. If I could get my lad to put down his phone, let alone pick up a camera instead, that would be an achievement. Creeper Posted June 10, 2021 Author Share Posted June 10, 2021 (edited) Just picked up some Ernie ball group 3 flats today, interesting how big the gaps are on the windings, and the angled winding on the G string! close up they look similar to the TI flats Going to play them like crazy for a month then take another closeup, see how much gunk for the funk I’ve managed to accumulate! Creeper Posted June 11, 2021 Author Share Posted June 11, 2021 I’d really like to see some close up of some chromes to see how they compare to the Ernie ball, I’ve heard people comment that they are the same string just rebranded, they certainly my don’t feel the same, would be good to get a good close up of them.
