bump!

Platypus very kindly let me go round his gaff today to check out this bass (and a lovely Spector too...). It was just as I as expected, very very nice indeed. The passive sound was great, and with the eq on it just sounded monsterous. Nicely balanced, not too heavy - I'm sure whoever picks this up will be very happy! I'm just happy that 6 strings is 1 too many for me, and that Platypus doesn't take credit cards ;)

I remember that day! I didn't realise it was THAT one Pete - as you say, it is quite a special bass...

Be sure to watch the excerpt number 4 from the same user. There's a nice cello piece and then there's that entertaining bit where the flautist and the violinist trade licks and the sailor's horn marks the spots where the tempo goes up a notch - what's that sailorly tune called?

I made a thread in off-topic: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=38478 as I got an idea: let's post clips to interesting music that comes from a land foreign to us - I get to post anything except Finnish music and so forth. Could be fun!
