New Strat Day

Recommended Posts

Fender Mex 50's Classic Player.

I'm impressed with the quality and very happy with the spec.

Not generally a fan of white pick guards but I actually quite like it against the Shoreline Gold.

Looks good. Mint green would be bangin' on that finish too B)

I was thinking either that or parchment. Going to live with it, as is for a while though.

That looks great - cool colour too. A refreshing change from the sunburst which all my fenders are!

I like that sort of 50s maple neck look. V nice.

Congrats. CP 50s are very nice. Especially for clean sounds and light dirt. Mine was very (VERY!) noisy when not touching the strings until I painted the cavities with conductive paint. Very worth the effort.

I've not noticed a problem with that yet, although so far, I've only played it at neighbour friendly volume in my lounge. :)

I don't know if it is common and - truth to be said - I played it for 3 years before I overcame my laziness and got the work done. But worth it on my guitar.

Tasty. I loves me a Strat. Brown tort guard, mebbe?

I was considering a change of guard but actually a change of circumstance has led me to put it up for sale on here. :)

Just picked up an American Professional in Olympic White - it feels and sounds phenomenal but what colour pickguard should I change it to    ?

Thinking black or cream pearl or abalone or the crazy gold glass sparkle fender one ?

Any thoughts ?
