here's the latest version of my pedalboard, all inside the MOD DuoX :)

Every purple line is an audio path, and every blue one is MIDI.

It's one in (though it could be stereo) 6 out (three stereo pairs).

The parallel audio paths include an ambient path that's all reverb/delay, one that's all pitch-to-MIDI, and one that's glitchy weird sh*t.

it's all controlled via a Keith McMillen Softstep and Quneo, the MOD Footswitch and two Dunlop mini expression pedals. The only additional outboard at the moment is a Dunlop volume pedal, a Dunlop Wah (alternate between the mini bass wah and the Justin Chancellor), and a Nordstrand Starlifter.

Dear lord, what's the latency on that?!

Nice solution! Like the patchy - I'm guessing that's your own design? I just made one for my filter board: Gave me an appreciation for guys like Bright Onion - enjoyed the process, but weighing up the cost their service is a damn good one.

Thanks! Yeah, just got a small metal enclosure drilled and wired it. Stereo jacks on the inside so I can be flexible on ins/outs. I also appreciate their efforts. I got it a bit wrong as the sockets broke contact on one of the sides when you put the jack in and had to re-do half of the connections 🙄

Whatever the A/D latency is in the first place, once you are in the digital side there is no additional latency between effects, so one effect or 100 effects, as long as you have the processing power, it doesn't matter.

I've read the specs and that thing has a serious ARM core on it, but there is processing delay, it's not *no* additional latency.

I gotta say, I never noticed any noticeable addition to the latency for more complex signal chains with the MOD Dwarf, that’s not to say it wasn’t there but certainly wasn’t apparent.

Using the channel routing as an FX loop or utilising their “Portal” blocks which allowed parallel processing to lower CPU usage at the expense of latency however had a huge impact. Was pretty essential though for using the AIDA-X captures.
