Post your pedal board - Basschat style!!

Are they the same filters as in the M9/13? I'm not massively impressed with most of the filters on that, I'll be honest. I can't get a synth sound out of it that I really like. I think if I was using a whole scene for each effect, as some people do, it might be easier. But that's irrelevant for the FM4 anyway :)

I ran out of patch cables, I think the power cables may have ethnically cleansed them because I'm missing like 10 (someone please sell me some)

I'll probably move the pulp mill on, I should really have learnt my lesson that I don't need a compressor, but I just enjoy being poor too much. Although, with the trim pots maxxed out it does a very nice fuzz, but I figured it's probably not good for it so I didn't leave it there for too long. Edited by bobbass4k
EDIT: Forgot to say, just noticed you're the live Bassist for Charlie Barnes! Good times, I've seen him support Amplifier at the Manchester Academy twice now, it'd be good to see him with a bigger band, great guy, great music.
Yeah, his music is pretty awesome. It's easy being in his band because he writes pretty much everything. I've thrown in a few suggestions here and there, and written a couple of little bits myself, but mostly it's him, although I came up with all of the sounds that I'm using. It means that all I have to worry about is whether I can keep up with him vocally (I'm doing backing vox, and a lot of it is right near the top of my range) and whether I'm hitting the right pedals at the right time!

Did you check the bottom right of the photo? Looks like there's some down there...

Just had a sort out / rearrange of the old board, Ive removed the Envelope filter and compressor an added a Boss LMB-3 with a new power supply from http://johnnyshredfreak.com, it was recommended in a thread on here and i have to say that for the price of them excellent value for money (even comes with a fixing kit!!) works great with no hiss or hum etc so while i was on the site i ordered a fixing kit (massive improvement on the cable ties).

So this is what it looks like as of today (well for now at least :))

Here's my Pedaltraini Mini -

Signal flow is as you see. All powered by a Diago power supply which fits nicely in the 'gutter' at the back of the board, behind the Micro POG.

I'm totally happy with this board. Although if I start playing in a balls-out rock band again I'll probably replace the Bottom Feeder with some kind of overdrive.

A few little quirks about this board are that I've used aluminum tape to mark my settings on the VT, and will soon do the same to the other pedals once I'm set on my sound.

I often get asked about my pedal connectors, which are the EBS Asymetric connectors, I find they take less space and create less mess than cables. I don't believe what anyone says about them putting stress on the ins/outs of pedals - if the pedals are well attached to the board there is no issue.

And I also use LED booklights to illuminate my board, clipped onto the back of the board...

Which means that this is as close as you are going to get to the obligatory 'night shot'....

Hi - nice board - and I'm glad you posted - I was beginning to think I'd killed one of the longest-lasting threads on the forum!

What does the Musket pedal do?

Thanks! The Musket is a muff-type fuzz that gives you a good amount of control. More info on the Musket here:

Cheers. No comments from anyone on my board then? I thought this was a place to post your board and get some comments and advice. Not sure why I took the time to take a picture and post it. I'll delete it as it was obviously too non-descript/dull/sh*t to get a response. :)

How very mild-mannered!

I'm not sure if i've taken this the wrong way, but it looks like you really have deleted your post of your board?!?

Arr, not deleted out of anger - just board embarrassment! :)

Ahhh, heh, really, this thread is more like porn than it is discussion. If you look through there are loads of boards with no comments. I'm not sure if I can remember yours but I think my reaction was along the lines "FS I wish that was mine, so shiney and organised" and i'd never post admitting to jealousy over another's board!

i had quite a long play on one in my mates shop recently - really quite liked it. Not many phasers i've tried have a blend function, and i quite like subtlety for phasers, so it worked a treat for me. MP pedals are damn expensive though... couldn't justify spending that much on a phaser
First PYPB post! At the moment the wiring is very messy but this is basically a test setup. I intend to tidy it all up before it sees any real use with the band. I know it's not all boutique-ey like some of the boards on here, but it does what I need it to at the moment. I'm already thinking about switching out some pedals though, especially the Muff.

Signal Chain:

Bass > NS-2 > Tuner > Amp

[NS-2 Send] > LS-2 > [NS-2 Return]

[LS-2 Send A] > BSW > FM-4 > DS-1 > BF-2 > Pulsar > Time Machine > SMMwH Left > [LS-2 Return A]

[LS-2 Send B] > OC-2 > LBM > Q-Tron > PH-3 > SMMwH Right > [LS-2 Return B]

LS-2 is set to Mix A+B, so the two loops run in parallel for blending different sounds together.

Night Shot:

That's a pretty good summary of my experience also. The blend really helps and the phaser is on the subtle side. I find that it compliments my tone versus becomes my tone. I really like it. They are expensive, but, if you shop around, you can find them used at a more reasonable cost. That's what I did and paid much less than $300.00 US. In fact there are a couple on evilbay right now for about $250.00 US.
