I just can't seem to get it right even when it's slowed down to half speed so I can listen carefully. I've got something that slows video down but loses sound whilst doing so but I bet there's something out there that will do this. Try singing along with the bass line to get the general groove and then play what you can sing/hum Making it sit and making it work and move will help you far more than ripping every little nuance and note. [/quote] The basis of Bernard Edwards bass lines is that they are always very simple. They are far more complicated play, though, because he fills them up with ghost notes, accents and pushes.
