A pupil of mine recently got an Epiphone Thunderbird. Now I know they're oversized and a bit outlandish, but I have a real hankering to get one. Same goes for the new Ibanez SR300. Both cheap basses, but I want one!

What cheapies are you hankering after this week?
Those Epi Thunderbirds are very good for the money!

For reasons I can't explain, I've been hankering for one fo these for some time: http://www.arbiter.co.uk/italia/electric_b...bass_guitar.htm

A blue tolex bass - who could resist that?!

Excellent bass, the Corvette $$. Still thinking of getting another one. Possibly the best all rounder I've ever had!

I've been eyeing up a nice Sunburst SX Jazz for a bit...don't think I'll put my money where my mouth is for a while though.

Major major MAJOR GAS this week/month has been for a Shuttle 6.0...one will be mine shortly :)

I've done gas'ing for Rics...i've moved on to Gretsch's now....have my eye on a Broadcaster now that i've tried the Thunder Jet which, incidentally, grows on me day by day...lovely growl from the TV Jones pups with bottom end bigger and rounder than my grannys arse.

Sorry but I missed the bit about gassing for cheaper end stuff - my picks hardly come under that umbrella.

So - tried a couple of OLP ray-a-likes at the Yorks bass bash and I loved them , esp the Tony Levin sig which I don't think cost a packet.

Maybe , if a really good playing OLP 5er came along ....maybe.

actually been looking at getting a sat nav for getting to gigs.

I actually have a sat nav on my phone... but I have learnt that they are not to clever when at a critical point of driving the phone rings. I've had enough. Sat nav standalone it is!
oh and a pair of glasses. have you seen the price of the bloody things?
Nope. If I could, I wouldn't need the damn things... :)

Meanwhile, on the GAS front;

Bongo H/S
Corvette $$
G&L ASAT

It's all gone a bit Humbucker, hasn't it?
