Not sure if this is breaking the rules regarding Rickenbacker sales ,so if it is mods please delete , with appologies upfront

But i was wondering where the best place is to sell without going down the ebay route , ive never sold on there and im a bit wary about putting one on there , when you hear about so many problems or scams

what do other sellers do on here now about selling ?

is there another forum i could try ?

once again if this breaking rules i appologise :(

I suggest giving Gumtree a go, like anywhere just be aware of potential timewasters. Make it clear what the selling price is before you arrange to meet anyone either by email or speaking to them, being reasonable,of course . I've had mostly good experience buying and selling on Guntree, and also met BC's this way!

The hobo's round here are always looking for firewood! (only joking).

Gumtree is a good call and also have a word with your local music shops.

Gumtree, Preloved, one of the local Faecesbook music gear sale pages. On those sites you can also stipulate if you would accept trades. Bit trickier to stipulate that on FEEBay. It is a shame it went the way it did as I think Basschatters missed out on sales and trades through no fault of their own.
Just remember when you see an example of said bass on FEEBay at £1500;
1. It is likely that price to cover about £130 of fees.
2. It is also unlikely to sell.
Part ex or lower price may be the order of the day for a quick transaction.
Good luck.

Yes because for instance somebody selling another bass of around the same value, can not say they would seriously consider trading with one of the unmentionables.
Sadly as we all know the owners were put in a position where they had little choice, for the benefit of the majority.
We need a secret handshake kinda section of Basschat  .
In the meantime OP, you have suggestions and I'm sure some of us will keep an ear open.

Not wanting to be a kill-joy, but isn't this a Rick*backer add by stealth?

Shouldn't you be paying your £20 to start this thread? :yarr:

Grumpy?

OK, guys. Thanks for the clear cut feedback.
I wasn't feeling grumpy, but apparently came across that way.
Sorry for that.

The point stands though, even though it was worded more eloquantly by Grangur.

best,
bert
