megallica
I received the RB924 a few weeks ago and have only got around to photographing it with the RS924 I have had for a couple of months now. Very happy with these two and it was well worth the aggro of trying to find an RB924 that someone would consider selling. I did harrass every Roadstar owner on basschat to sell me there Roadstar at one point, that must have been quite annoying, so apologies all. Emanew
These Roadster are well made instruments and they are a lot of bass for few money. I play a RS900 natural fretless for years. I specially appreciate the sunburst on your RS924. Congrats for having harrassed... Don't give up Edited August 17, 2013 by Emanew

Dingus
Are those the original knobs on the one with a maple board ? Looks like the original pickups have been swapped for EMG'S , too . I'm sure it still sounds great though . I remember Steve Harris having one of these that he played occasionally , and , by way of contrast , 1980's London - based session ace Graham Edwards ( he lives in L.A nowadays ) played one of these a lot , too . In fact : (I hereby claim my Basschat 1980's Bass Guitar Anorak award for knowing these things . Yes , my life is that empty ) Edited August 18, 2013 by Dingus

I was unsure of whether or not I should wait for a more original example to come along but after playing it for a few minutes I felt if was the best bass I've ever played. Love the neck, very resonant body and I'm not the biggest emg fan but I'm in no rush to replace them as they sound much fuller in this bass. Not sure if Steve played one outside of the Run to the hills video but it definately stuck in my mind from an early age.
LeftyJ
Very nice! Now onwards to collect the other top-of-the-line models of that time, the ST924 and both versions of the MC924
Dingus
I had the Musician Bass back in the 1980's . Looking at them now , these were beautiful basses . I remember playing someone's Roadstar at the time and seem to remember that it had a very shallow "D" shaped neck profile , not dissimilar in certain ways to an early Music Man bass . I would love to own one of these basses again nowadays myself.
