Just in from Kevin at Sadowsky HQ, note they have dropped "Guitars" from the head stock it now just says NYC. Can't wait for delivery now, and i'm pleased with my colour choice and that I chose the tort guard rather than standard black one:

In my experience , boutique bass builders all talk a good game about the quality of their work and their comittment to quality , but way too many of them deliver disappointing or substandard final results . Sadowsky are a very notable exception . They really do demand that every aspect of every bass they put out of their shop is absolutely perfect and to the very highest standard possible . When you buy a NYC Sadowsky you know that it will be right .

As nice as it must be to get pics, and it looks great BTW, there must be an element of torture in them for you. I won't say 'hope it pays as good as it looks' 'cos you just know it will and hope doesn't enter into it.

I like the look of this bass.

Usually I don't go for plain bodies but the vintage tint makes all the difference and the tort is a perfect combination.

The only thing I’d change is the fb. I'd have gone for rosewood.

Is this bass chambered?

Put me first in the queue when you decide to sell it!!!!

Nice! From seeing recent prices of Fodera's and the ever rising prices of Sadowsky Metro's/Fender USA basses, I bet this was actually a pretty reasonable price.

Do you have to deal with import duties? Or is it through a store?
Yup it worked out a damn site cheaper than one from GuitarGuitar :)
That was my biggest quandary about the board, I do like a nice bright bass, and I already have a RW boarded 4 for band work, this one is largely for my gospel band work which I do, and wont be visiting any dodgy pubs any time soon.

Have Sadowsky shipped it yet , and when do you expect to recieve it ?
Nope, still being checked by the man himself apparently, mind they havent asked for payment yet either.

They really are a different class of company . A lot of builders would have had it out the door already and your money in the bank , but Roger is a true fanatic when it comes to quality control . I had dealings with him myself back in the Nineties and he is a thoroughly decent man .

This fills me with confidence, should I ever go down this route.

I do kinda wish EBMM had a custom shop, charging big bucks but producing custom built Musicman basses.
