Nate mendel signature bass

Sounds like these are good basses, am yet to read anything negative about them. Not sure about the choice of SD QPs (purely as not sure if NM actually has them in his basses or not) but they can easily be swapped out.

Other thing is, most people posting about these don`t even seem to claim to be massive Foo/Nate fans, but still really rate these basses. Gotta be a thumbs-up for them and Fender MIM in particular, considering how many seem to like to bash MIMs.

I`d like to try one myself, but I`d probably end up wanting/buying one, so safest of I don`t.

I've played loads of precisions, I.e squier, us fender etc...

And this one really stood out, also the idea of having a brand new bass that looks slightly distressed seemed cool :)

Plays excellently, lovely neck, build quality is great, love the colour and the headstock with 70's logo and tuners, just a great looking and playing instrument :)

Recommend one to anyone!

How long do these signature models usually stay in circulation for? I'm really tempted by this.

well, Marcus, Geddy, Steve Harris seem to be doing fine, so do Reggie Hamilton, Sting, Dirnt etc. Hopefully this one stays a bit, I kind of want one...

I saw one on a stand in N/castle. Nice looking bass. Are they finished in nitro? I'm guessing the slightly worn finish is actually poly? If its nitro, this is one of the biggest Fender deals in a long time!

I'm not a big fan of red basses, so it still doesn't scream 'buy me', but it is growing on me. The bridge actually looks quite cool.

Compared to the AV 62 Reissue next to it, it actually looked like it had been made with a little more care and attention.

These basses look like a really good bet to me . A Fender Precision with a ( kind of ) Jazz Bass neck , a decent high output pickup and very good bridge . Not keen on the colour myself , but it would look much better with a vintage white scratchplate . Candy apple red with black just doesn't look good or vintage - correct to me . This could be a very useful bass for anybody , not just people with tattoos and beards .

It's a great package. Nitro body... slightly narrower width neck than a normal modern precision, but shallower so the "circumference" is much the same a Jazz. SD 1/4 pounders with no logo... tastefully worn as opposed to reliced body (they come with Road Worn series tags). Not too heavy.. not too light. 70's logo. Tinted neck (although I think that's poly not nitro... can't make my mind up about this). Cool Foo Fighters neck plate as well as normal Fender one.... there's lot to love. Only odd thing was mine arrived with strap lock buttons fitted, but not the other bit you put on your guitar strap.

I'm very happy. Haven't had much more than a  from the Leader of the Opposition, so I think I've got away with it.

Just need to flog my Jack Casady now... *ahem*
