Ooh I wish I could come. I coud do with something to cheer me up right now.
Unfortunately I have an Exam Board meeting the next day, otherwise I would just jump on a plane, obviously.

They are great and I'd like to see them live but as my relative in NZ will be on their way over here on that date it might be a tad rude of me to pop over there for the gig

Only gig I have lined up anytime soon is The Meteors at The Hairy Dog in Derby. Saturday 11th August.

I'll be the guy playing bass with the support act, Speed Kings.

If any BC'ers are coming along to the gig then feel free to find me for a chat. Although we're going to be in the studio all day before the gig so I might be a little sleepy and none to chatty after we've played.

I know it's a long way off still, but I'm thinking of going to see Europe at the Shepherd's Bush Empire on 1st December. You have been warned :D :P And if anyone's up for it, give me a shout. All those I've spoken to who have seen the band play live say they are excellent.

You're going to fit the entirety of Europe within a Shepherd's Bush? Impressive

Please give me a shout when you come south to play! I've listened to your soundcloud. That version of Summertime is brilliant, with fantastic vocals, and I love Seven Waves, gorgeous double bass on that (re-listening to it right now!).

Have you got a FB page I can like?
[/quote]

Thanks bluejay!! Seven waves was part of my final year composition portfolio, thats a rough-ish recording and will be re-done at some point. All the tunes on there were recorded using my Warwick Streamer LX6 :) its a phenomenal studio bass, tracks really well and sounds lovely and warm (even better now its got the East U-retro installed). And yeah, Kim is a phenomenal vocalist, check out her soundcloud too. We're playing 'They Say' at the jazz festival (where i hope to a better job than on that particular performance...)

The Trio dont have a FB page as of yet, but im advertising their gigs through my music page, and likes are always welcome! :)

Wow, so it's not a double bass after all? Kudos to Warwick - their instruments never fail to amaze...

I've liked your page and I'm checking out Kim's soundcloud. Get yerselves down south soon! :D

Nope, all mine have been on electric thus far :) My upright playing is nowhere near good enough to even consider recording as of yet.

Thanks very much for the like! :D Hope you like our live stuff from Kims soundcloud, hopefully we will have some recordings and videos from the Jazz festival!!
