KevB
Break a leg, not a string My gig last week was the first in nearly a year out of it. I'd forgotten how they flash by once you start playing the first sing. Hope it's a good 'un for ya.
charic
One pint for the night as I'm driving back but will have it before I go on. 25minute set and we're not first on so that's good. Will report back tomorrow as when I'm home me and the singer are cracking open the beers!

charic
Well it was interesting lol. Lesson the first: when you have an intro track where you don't play anything don't get on stage until its most of the way through. Especially if the soundguy decides to out lights on when you specifically asked the room to be as dark as possible. Lesson the second: this is metal, rather heavy metal at that. But because we have programmed drums the engineer decided it was ok for us to be quiet. When this happens it doesn't really have the same impact. Lesson the third: it is really hard to play the first track when: A. The singers Mic is turned off B. The guitar is turned right down C. The drums are turned right down I was basically the only thing that was audible, it was so hard to keep in time! And it set a really bad impression for the first 5 minutes of a 25 minute set. People were nodding along by the end though. It was fun to be back on stage but I felt somewhat let down by the engineer last night. This may lead to us finding our own engineer in the future. Oh and the singers cossack dance while moshing goes down quite well :-)
L_Bass_Dog85
A good sound engineer is hard to find! Find one, keep one. Apart from the mishaps was it a good night?
charic
I really enjoyed it yeah, we all just felt a little let down and that we could have done better :-)
Oopsdabassist
I ALWAYS feel like that after a gig...great time...but could have been better........its a good thing I guess
icastle
Well that seems pretty good as a first outing. Sounds to me that it was the logistics that let you down and the musical content was fine. Well done
charic
Oh and we made £5 Between us!

EdwardHimself
That's, what, £1.25 each? Great. That's more than i've made from music playing lol.
charic
We're actually going to frame it We got everyone from all the bands to sign it
dmccombe7
Bet you'll remember the gig though. Don't do it for the money - do it for the fun of it and everything else will take care of itself. Every gig will have its moments. Sounds like a good night was had and that's what counts. Well done. All the best Dave
