I have to do it for a chic medley, and I cannot really do it right all the time, can just about get away with it live, but I would not like to record it. the man is a legend, and my fave player. Brilliant playing and professionalism knowing that he was so ill and would die within 48hrs of the recording. A sad sad loss. I've got the Iron Maiden early days DVD - great documentary! Steve does his magical 'galloping' on that. His technique seems quite standard - if standard means 'awesome'. It's basically about fretting a chord across all six strings, but only picking out the notes you want and muting the rest. Nile worked on this for a while and it became his 'style' of rhythm guitar playing. You can see him employ it on things like 'Le Freak'. Incidentally, check out the live Chic DVD's - they may not have Bernard on bass (it's Jerry Barnes these days), but the band is hot, and Nile is a funk machine!
