1.
If you are on a budget, there is a guy on E bay who sells Mighty Mite necks, licenced by Fender, with a Fender logo for around the £100 mark.
+1 to this. I bought a neck from him for a jazz I built and it was great quality , smooth frets Nd very sturdy...he can also do them without the decal if u like...they are all satin finished though, so not ideal if you want a vintage vibe
2. Extra transcription added....
3. Hey guys, not sure if this is strictly the place to put it but just wanted to give you a heads up as I know people are often after new transcriptions on here, I had a quiet night last night and transcribed 'Good Love is on the Way' from the John Mayer Trio live album - the outstanding Pino on bass.... And now I have just finished doing 'Who Did You Think I Was' from the same record....I learn so much from transcribing this guy...He is like a gold mine of useful and tasteful ideas! Check them out, feel free to use them! https://www.daveevansbass.com/transcriptions Dave
4. Where are you based?...Also does this have a handle at all?
5. This very bass is up for sale at the moment if anyone is interested?...never quite got on with if in the end!
6. PM's replied, thanks for the interest so far!
7. For sale is my Japanese made '51 reissue P bass in butterscotch, don't see too many of these around anymore and I will inevitably end up regretting the sale! Had this bass for about a year or so, doesn't get played anymore and I need funds to buy a 5 string... The bass is in great condition, 1 or 2 tiny nicks in the lacquer but they are only surface marks, have managed to get the intonation right even with those tricky saddles so plays in tune all the way up the neck. The neck is a very comfortable shape and easy to play, feels somewhere between a Jazz and a P to my hands but I could be talking rubbish!...The body has a really nice visible grain under the butterscotch. Currently strung with [s]GHS groundwounds for a bit of a vintage vibe [/s]Ernie Ball roundwounds, would probably sound even better with full on flats! looking for [s]£520 [/s] [s] £500[/s] [s]£470[/s] £440 for this beauty, it will come with a soft case. Preferably collection or willing to meet up at a reasonable distance (I'm in Berkhamsted, Herts). Postage at buyers expense [s]Trade wise you can try me with a 5 string, happy to put cash towards it as well. Pretty open to what type at the moment, no Warwicks though!.... Lakland 5ers are top of my list! [/s] No trades on this now, sorry! Get involved! Dave
8. Sorry to be a party pooper but I'm pretty sure the pics underneath are mixed up!... There is a blue one and a gold one... Or am I missing something?!
9. Sorry to hear you're moving it on so soon!...Did the ACG win out in the end? Bump for a great bass and a good guy to deal with! edit.....Just seen your other posts, looks like you're having a serious clear out!
