Slacker! Or is a braided cable soldering club job?
-
Seems they are trying to catch Amazon up.

Jeez, I see what you mean now. Your setlist must be right stale.

That's because good wireless costs a lot - and the T-bone stuff is very much entry level stuff. It's exactly the same with wireless IEM. You need to be spending £750+ to get performance from analogue devices (digital not preferable in the IEM world due to latency - although Lectrosonics are the exception to that) I would wager if you used a Line6 digital mic system with a decent head mic, you would be a lot happier. But then again, that's still considerably more than a 100 quid mic sitting on a stand.

You ordered one yet in preparation?

Of course, maybe I'm the only person to have picked up on this... but by putting the analogue pedals in the digital domain, it wouldn't take much to make every old analogue pedal, midi enabled. Want to recall a pedal with different settings? No problem! The main challenge would be making the pedals look presentable as opposed to a hacked electronics project. The ability to sweep an analogue pot under MIDI control... hmm. I wonder if anybody has done this in any capacity? I'm going to have a google... Hmm, maybe I should get my embedded programming hat on again.

The very one.

It's OK, there's an iPad on it.

Bizarrely enough, I had a similar idea with expensive outboard studio gear. You hire the gear remotely, have virtual control over the knobs and send the audio feed to it to be processed.... like a plugin but in somebody elses studio. Play the stem through it and the resultant wav is made available to download. The thing is, plugins have got so good... and virtually latency free... I figured there wouldn't be a market. Plus theres the slight issue of the expensive outboard having to be butchered a little. Good call though Thomann.

Don't need no heft for the sound of a staple gun. What amp is it that Mark King is using again...?

I posted one of the other promo vids above (https://www.basschat.co.uk/topic/61774-show-us-your-playing-videos/?page=57&tab=comments#comment-3665537), here's the second one.

What venue is this?

Time and place for them. There's probably some places where you can hear people calling you a pillock over the sound of the PA... For functions and weddings stuff, it's a bit of good fun. The best use was when I did a gig at Battersea Evolution and there were big LEDs screens behind me... lights down on stage, spot on me... massive LED screen behind me showing a video feed close up on my fretboard. Pretty cool impact. That was some years back though now.

This sounds like the makings of an excellent documentary.

It's an all white GB Spitfire with the sound to light LED package (although they were static in this case cos they can be a bit much at times!).

Ha - when I briefly lived in Derby, there was a guy... I saw was, I've just looked him up and he's still going strong... He looked like he was at deaths door when I last saw him. Still does it would seem. http://www.mickmoonshine.co.uk/ And yes, he does dress like that.

Aww. Where's his sense of humour?
-
Ha! I don't think that would land well at most of the function gigs that we do... especially the non PC line that springs to mind. I think I've only played that song once... in a pub in Sutton Coldfield. I'd never heard the song before getting the setlist through beforehand. Drew up some cribnotes... but I remember the crowd reacting to the Gordon is a Moron bit - probably in a fashion not to dissimilar to what you seem to suggest!

Stiff Dylans - the band from Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging. Matt, the bass player (plays a GB Rumour too) in that band seems to be doing alright for himself since the demise of the SD (pretty much straight after the film release). Think he got the MD gig for Taio Cruz.. currently doing stuff stateside with Mike Shinoda. Top guy.
