Guess what bass I'd prefer!

I'm really quite envious as its something I'd love to do. What makes it worse is that I'm in a darn good band which dose gig a fair bit but only around the same old local venues. I've almost given up trying to motivate them.

Its suddenly changed to a fancy black 5 stringer. Looks very nice too but still expensive.

I have seen Precisions from this era in this state before. I owned a '78 (IIRC) in a lot better condition which I sold for about the same price to somebody here a couple of years ago. Also the case is worth a few quid too. Sellers reputation aside, I'd put my neck out and say that its not been reliced. If so £800 is a wee bit of a bargain, maybe?

For the money you're looking to spend you'll be getting good gear. Let your ears decide so try as much as possible. The stuff in my signature is there after years of trying out different gear. I've owned more amp/cab combinations that I care to mention but I believe what I've got now is the best for me. Although you may think it stinks!

I've just had a very strange look from my house mate whilst playing along to that! Like that bass.

I dont know anything really about them although having a quick look at the Warwick page they look ok. I'm a little surprised that the Thumb has a maple neck and not Ovangkol. The corvette dose! I would hazard a guess that the build quality would be very good but I bet you'll pay for it! And then theres the 'Artist Series'...

Another big +1 for the Genz Neox. For its size its quite remarkable and easily handles the venues I play. The sound is so tight and focused and not what I would expect from a 2x12. When I was in the market for a new cab I tried it against a Berg 2x12 (which IMO didn't sound half as good) and two Berg 4x10's both Neo and non Neo. I thought that the non Neo Berg sounded better being crisper and tighter and pretty much like the Neox.
