1.
It does indeed pay to use social media. You'd be surprised how quickly you get a response if you have a good grumble on a companies facebook or twitter accounts
I tried this on Twatter and got the same argument back from them that they refuse to help and frankly didn't care less... https://twitter.com/interparcel/status/735467585106550784
 2.
Not as pricey as I'd be, I'll bet.
3.
Problem is, just WHO do you use? Every single courier company has nightmare stories associated with them if you look. There's definitely a niche in the BC market for a bespoke luxury courier service by bass players for bass players. I've got a car and loads of time on my hands! Trouble is, I don't think my rates would be very competitive - and there's the rub.
If only there was a bespoke instrument carrier. I've considered using Shiply as it stays in one van, in one person's hands, but its so pricy...
 4.
Hermes are the worst. So many times you see the tracking for a two day service and the goods leave the depot go out for delivery and come back again. Up to three times before the stuff finally comes ParcelForce seven days later.
I've also had bad experiences with Hermes and ParcelForce. ParcelForce are the worst handlers IMHO, they've smashed a bass and an amp of mine.
Yesterday I ordered a Merc air filter, free delivery, and it was delivered two hours later. That's the way to do it.
Wow, now that is good!!
Hope you get your problem sorted soon.
Thanks!
 5. I had a great experience with Interparcel today after they failed to pick up a bass from me, and point blank refused any compensation for messing up. Lovely bunch of people, I won't be using them again. I decided to write to Customer Services after spending almost an hour on the phone to them... Absolutely useless, won't be using them again.
 6. Has anyone had a weird cracking and/or screeching sound like this from their MB500 fusion at all? Only seems to happen on the presence switch. (excuse the playing, trying to hold the phone, play a few notes and flick the switches on the amp at the same time!) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cae8PXjDq50

 11. Up for sale is my Peavey Tour 700. I'm only selling as I now have a GK MB500 Fusion which is tiny. This is a great amp, heaps of tonal shaping, very true sound, and rock solid. I'd rather you collect it as I have a dislike of couriers after they've damaged a bass and an amp in the past. If you do want it shipped, that's fine, but its not included in the price Also comes in a superb Gator padded rack case which unzips at both ends so it never has to be removed, handy! OVERVIEW The Peavey Tour 700 Bass Amp Head offers tons of power plus extensive tone-shaping tools, such as bright and low-cut switches, active high and low shelving controls, a contour control, and a 9-band graphic EQ configured to target critical bass frequencies. Its also includes a Peavey-exclusive sub-harmonic generator with level control and footswitchable bypass that adds a note one octave lower than the original note, creating interesting harmonic textures and a significantly enriched bottom end. The Tour 700 delivers 700W RMS into 4 ohms. SmartRail technology, a new patented Peavey power-amp topology, makes it possible for the Tour Series to deliver its massive dynamic power with increased efficiency and lighter weight. In addition, the XLR-equipped direct out allows traditional patching to a front-of-house or studio mixer, but features fail-safe phantom power backup that sends a flat signal through the house P.A. or studio console. FEATURES

700W into 4 ohms (4-ohm minimum load)
Pre- and post-gain controls
Bright and and low-cut switches
Contour control for advanced signal shaping
Active high and low shelving controls
Hi boost, low cut
9-band constant-Q graphic equalizer with bypass switch
Analog octave divider with level control
and footswitchable bypass
Post-EQ effects loop
Buffered tuner send jack
DI XLR output with fail-safe phantom power backup capability
2 input jacks for high and low output bases
Rear-mounted auxiliary input jack
Pics here: http://s19.photobuck...ey%20Tour%20700
 12. Oh my god....why oh why did I wait this long to get one??? Today I bought a used VM4 and it is just amazing, its right up there with my Sadowsky MV4 Jazz. Super fast neck, really lightweight, thumping tone, the best relic job I've seen, all that with lollipop tuners I'm a happy guy!
 13. Just met up with Cisco for a shady deal in a car park while being watched by 15 tube station cameras. A really top guy, had a great chat with him and I'll thoroughly recommend him to anyone buying from him! I just bought his Sandberg VM2 HCA from him, its amazing. I have a feeling this one won't be for sale on BC ever again... Take care Cisco, and see you soon!
 14.
Nice!
and available
 15. Up for sale is my Korean built Epiphone Les Paul Standard bass. Cherry sunburst, 2V 2T control, 2 humbuckers, set painted neck, overall in great condition, bloomin' loud, plays great! One small chip on the edge as shown in pic below, and what looks like a glue run where previous owner glued strap button in. When I unscrewed it it looks like the hole had threaded so has been bolstered with a wood splint, but a bit of glue run happened. Obviously has no effect on playability and as you can see from the full back shot in hardly visible, only noticeable on close inspection. Just wanted to be completely upfront about this before anyone gets interested and then disappointed, hence bargain price! Only selling as per normal reasons... gas, gas needs cash, thinning of the herd ensues! Comes with a gigbag, I'd rather you collect it as I have a dislike of couriers after they've damaged a bass and an amp in the past. If you do want it shipped, that's fine, but not included in the price.
 16. Up for offer is my Gibson USA Thunderbird Ebony Black 2001 model. I don't really want to sell it but I've had a bad attack of GAS which means it has to go to make way for another... GIbson stopped making the black basses a good few years ago so this is fairly unusual to see these days, its all a sea of vintage sunburst and white ones. It comes with Gibson hardcase, case candy etc. It's in fantastic condition. The only thing that stops this being 'as new' is the extra strap button hole on the body on the upper wing. It lives in Great Missenden, Bucks if you want to try it out. Its a lovely growly monster! Maybe open to trades but ideally I want a sale. I'd rather you collect it as I have a dislike of couriers after they've damaged a bass and an amp in the past. If you do want it shipped, that's fine, but its not included in the price.
 17. Awesome! Someone call Steel Panther....
 18. Don't suppose you fancy a 2001 ebony black Gibson Thunderbird for trade by any chance?
