1. With the PF its just reliability, they've had bad press for dying and going pop....
2. I was wondering about the SVT*-PRO lot but I've never tried one out, just read a lot about people bad mouthing them constantly saying they're no SVTs... I'm never expecting anything to sound quite like the SVT or SVT-II but something close would be great. I don't really want to have to add another pedal just to get the tone. I did use a BA500 combo and was really impressed. What amp is in that?
3. So last night my class D GK was out of action so I took my Ampeg SVT-II to the gig for the first time in a few years. Wow. It sounded awesome, like bass used to... It weighs a ton though. Any recommendations of one of the lighter Ampeg (not that tiny PF thingy) that has anything like a classic Ampeg tone??

6. It's not a bass, so apologies for posting such indecencies, but wow, what a finish!
7. Great guy to deal with. Really quick replies and I almost got a door to door service, almost! Cheers mate

9. Its the same guy that tried to scam me yesterday! The dick sent me two pics of a bass he 'owned', one fretted and one fretless!
10. Beware of this scam idiot. Mario Salopek <[email protected]> He's tried to sell me a bass he claims to own, but clearly doesn't. He only had one photo of it, then when pushed for more pics sent me another pic he'd googled, but this time around the bass had become fretless. Avoid! He blocks his IP to hide himself which always rings alarm bells and is against forum rules. He has gone under different names and emails so be aware of anything that seems dodgy, it may well be. 🔔🔚

12.
Welcome to the reverse headstock P bass club
Wow. That is gorgeous!
13.
Awwww, you've done a posh version of my £30 bitsa bass!
Awesome! Someone else with weird bass taste!
14. Not strictly right, it was new a month ago but I've only just got around to getting the pics up here... Precision body Jazz neck, reverse headstock Double MusicMan humbuckers Black over white nitro relic finish Fender logo on headstock (primarliy to annoy a few of my purist friends) Its not Mark's normal retro replica build, but its what I wanted. Its a beast, its passive and is stupidly powerful!
15. They do build to spec per se, but they use necks made by their supplier, they don't make them themselves.
16.
I think Zilla Cabs used to do them to order for the Orange Terror Bass, night be worth a call.
Thanks!
17. So I have a Ampeg SVT-II which sits in an old rackcase. Its fine, but I'd like it to have a decent wooden sleeve like my old SVT. I know Aguilar make them: http://store.aguilaramp.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=700-016 and Casesmith Customs: http://casesmithcustoms.com/index.php/rack-case/studio-rack-case but its $200 plus shipping from US, plus customs thieving gits tax on top of that. Does anyone know of anywhere that makes something similar in the UK. I've seen a ton of cheap ones on eBay covered in nasty carpet, but I prefer my carpet on the floor, not on my amp. I want a tolex covered one, with metal corners, and ideally with heavy duty recessed handles like the SVT sleeve. Any thoughts guys and girls? thx
18.
...on time!
HAHA!!

20. Exactly they then go on to say to me that actually the time isn't guaranteed. Even though it states it there in black and white in clause 7.1. Theiving misleading gits. Anyhow, after an email back from them refusing to compensate me for the extra day needed to be there to hand over the collection, and for the late delivery, and for the receive to also need to be there for an additional day to receive this late delivery, I decided the BBC might be interested. I have just written to Watchdog. I know its fairly petty, but its a misleading service wasting time of two parties and not actually delivering the service I specifically paid extra to guarantee...
21. Oh it gets better.... my bank have just contacted me, Interparcel have taken the payment twice...
