1.
Of all the 'name' relics ive seen ive always thought the limelights looked a bit....naff. Dont look remotely genuine and a bit like a kid has gone at it with a sander. Nowhere near as genuine looking as the likes of nash and sandberg in my humble
I know what you mean, I've not seen any relics that match up to the Sandbergs.
 2.
Here's my Sandberg It's a great bass.
That is beautiful....
 3.
Have you seen the Limelight thread here!? http://basschat.co.u...70#entry2773482 I had a Limelight 64-style Jazz for a while, and it was awesome! Looked as good as the real thing, and certainly sounded as good. Also had an older Glockenlang loaded Sandberg Jazz too, for about two weeks...It was lovely, but I just never got used to the feel or sound.
How so, what did you think was different about the sound/feel, and how did the Limelight and Sandberg compare?
 4. Does anybody have any experience of any of these brands at all? Even better has anyone ABC'd them, its a longshot I know.. Its a marmite topic, but I'm getting some relic GAS. I like the look of a beaten up Jazz, but I fancy one with 2 MM pickups, like the Sandberg TM2. I'd like (in case you're interested) a 4 string version of the above, with tortoiseshell scratchplate, rosewood board, and reverse headstock (not painted). I haven't tried any of the brands I mentioned apart from Sandberg, so any opinions would be most welcome! Thanks
 5. I suspect I'm going to start getting hate mail from the UK distributors soon...

 7.
Gorgeous bass! I've just had my mk1 refinished. Thread coming soon...
8.
Clarky, how did it work with you being able to choose your specific bass? Was this an option you were offered after you added one to your basket or did you have some contact with the seller outside of the website/sales portal? (You'll appreciate you can see I'm now giving this some serious thought!....)
http://global.rakuten.com/en/store/chuya-online/item/90658/ I emailed them before I purchased and asked to see what basses they had in stock, they sent me a stack of pics and I chose the one I liked the best and then went ahead with the purchase, it was really simple and they couldn't be more helpful! They seem to have more of the better grain pattern ones in Japan, Arai UK This is one of the pics they sent me.
 9. I actually love that this doesn't have a SB1000 traditional parallel neck, I love my 1984 model, but this just plays beautifully!
 10.
Forgive the inquisitiveness but what's the string spacing at the bridge and nut width - if it's not too much trouble? I'm hoping in a perverse way that the nut's going to be wider than about 42mm so I can dismiss it as too wide for my teeny weeny, middle aged hands...
I believe its 18/19mm spacing (can't remember exactly) and 38mm Jazz width at the nut... sorry!!
 11. It's now a SB-1000JT. I swapped out the gold hardware for black. Its a beautiful bass...

 15. PRICE DROP to £60 T-REX Sweeper Bass Chorus Pedal The Sweeper has everything you need to get the full range of classic bass chorus sounds – using just a few simple controls. DEPTH controls the amount of chorus effect. Turn it down for a subtle chorus, crank it up for that great full sweep. Use the RATE control to set the speed of your sweep. A fast rate combined with a low depth level gives you a light shimmering sound, while the slower rate and higher depth creates a dramatic chorus effect. VOLUME controls the overall output of The Sweeper, and the INPUT LEVEL on the side of the unit helps you avoid overdrive distortion by turning down the input signal. If the red overload light comes on, the input level is too high. Note: If you’re in the studio or have a stereo live setup, try using The Sweeper’s stereo outputs for a truly mind-blowing stereo chorus!
