  1. Like a lot if modern shows they throw the kitchen sink at it, so the opening has a five eight section that's quite quick, then there's a number with lots if Latin rhythms all over the neck, some funk stuff and some swing sections as well. Second act has plenty of tacet though so some relief before another quick number with time signature changes and syncopation. The metronome is on this morning i can tell you!
  2. Ah but montages have music, who’s provided that and how much did they rehearse it? There will be a rip in the time space continuum!
  3. Wow, the part just arrived in the post it looks I’ll be spending the next few weeks in the woodshed! Has anybody else on here done this show? Certainly makes a change from the usual I V I V fodder!
  4. But when you buy the cabs 8 or 9 years ago for £600 plus covers.....🤟👍🔥
  5. Sorry dozing off watching wales Italy with a cold! G&L LB100 (their vintage sounding P model) with Chrome flats Markbass littlemark tube- 500w Aguilar DB112 cabs, in tweed for that extra midrange bump. It is a fantastic sounding rig.
  6. Lb100 into lmt500 into db112s. Vintage without the wooliness.
  7. As above, I have one and it sounds monster with flats or rounds, really woody tone and super comfortable to play. Hope it finds an appreciative home.
  8. The issue is capacity for me. A Rolls Royce has it's power described as adequate. Then wafts along. Same with technique for me, to continue the car analogy I want to sound like a Ferrari doing 100mph when playing something complex rather the 1 litre Shitreon I own doing 60.... I read an anecdote about Al Jackson Jr, the session drummer, warming up for a gig with blazing chops, then for the entire gig cruising away laying down 2 and 4. Extreme chops are always going to be a niche market, but they just might enhance small musical highlights in with panache whilst playing more regular material.
  9. This is absolutely a fair point, and whilst some on BC might know about international goods distribution I admit I don't. However, this is exactly the kind of amp I'd have to replace my ageing LMT500, but the gains I'd see for over £1200 are minimal in the real world for the price difference between other amps £200 less, so I won't be buying one. It looks like I'm not alone. Surely mesa want to sell some of these?
  10. Excellent- now where’s the credit card?!?!
  11. It wouldn’t even have to do that really. We’ve got a concert set up in Mainstage, all I need the pedal to do is scroll one setting at a time down the set list. All the patch changes are configured in order already. I presume either pedal is capable of this.
  12. Disaster area looks perfect- but I can only find Andertons who stock it, at the end of the month. Tech 21 probably more than we need but will have to be the one. I really appreciate your help, many thanks. Harry
  13. Right, the keyboard has midi. Just a turbo quick google reveals a bewildering array of options. We need one or two switches for preset up and down. Any ideas please?
  14. Thank you, we’re rehearsing tonight so I’ll check. This is all very useful help.
  15. I'm just using usb-b to usb-c cable from the keyboard to the computer, then it's headphone out to the DI box/desk.
  16. Thank you gentlemen, they both look like great pieces of kit- but our keyboardist would probably struggle with multi-button solutions. Plus I'm almost as much of a luddite as she is....
  17. My apologies if this is in the wrong place but it’s vaguely pedal related. After much badgering I’ve finally managed to get our keyboardist to adopt Mainstage. However patch changes are tricky as she doesn’t like doing it by hand. Her keyboard is pretty naff (hence using the app)- I can hook up to it using usb but there’s not an input for the usual Boss unlatching pedal. Are there any usb or even better Bluetooth pedals that would be suitable please? many thanks Harry
  18. Quality material as well- the most important and over looked ingredient.
  19. Is that via Derek Acorah? Oo, hang on a minute....
  20. Already looks pi55ed off, look at the graphic EQ!
  21. He should have tried 56. Lots of people say you can’t hear the difference but I can definitely feel it, I watched two YouTube videos on it and have consequently formed my whole belief system around it.
