  1. Looks great doesn't it. Reminds me a bit of the Sandberg VM2 basses. These custom Sandbergs are not cheap so come on Yamaha!
  2. I play in two bands. The first is an original music band and that tends to take the style in whatever direction we find works for the song in question. The second is a covers band with a female singer. As the band grandad some of the songs we play are not really on my radar nor the kind of thing I would ordinarily listen to, but that's fine. I get to learn different tunes and I feel I benefit from that.
  3. Motivation for those who are flagging...
  4. I use this some of the time, often alternating with fretted bass from gig to gig. EMGs work really well and sit well in the mix. I has been noticed once or twice too by the crowd.
  5. The sound of Suella's soul. Apologies, politics. Will get my coat.
  6. Not forgetting KT Tunstall's ode to incontinence: Suddenly I Pee Nor Miley Cyrus' ode to a former lover: Wrecking Bill
  7. I also did a refin and stack knob conversion on an old Antoria Jazz bass.
  8. Don't think I've posted my Lee Sklar L/L on this thread yet. When I got it. Pickups and electronics added... And as I am progressively adding sigs etc.
  9. This one, plus a few ACGs. I feel that the OP may have been going down the early Jazz bass road but just my reading of it...
  10. Is there an option for a short-term loan of Mrs Rayman?
  11. If I tried that with Mrs ead I'd be walking with a limp for the rest of my life.
  12. There's a vid from Scott's Bass Lessons on exactly this. I know he's a bit marmite but it's only 18 mins of your life
  13. Big fan of EMG J pickups. Only issue is the cavity having enough space for battery, some J basses are fine others less so.
  14. I'm in Chorley so not far away at all either. Happy to help with anything.
  15. Dark and cold, much like current times.
  16. These are great basses and punch well above their lowly branding.
  17. NOW SOLD ELSEWHERE Cort GB75-JJ – Excellent condition For sale is my lovely Cort GB75 bass. The serial number dates the bass to 2017. The bass is in excellent overall condition with barely a mark on it. The transparent amber finish allows the wood grain to shine through and the satin-finished neck is really delightful to move up and down on. The bass is all original although I imagine the strings are not the original fit items. String spacing at the bridge is 19mm. The flamed maple fingerboard has been beautifully finished and the fret work is excellent too. The frets themselves have barely any visible wear. This particular bass weighs in at bang on 8lbs 13oz or 4.0kgs in new money by my scales so nice and light for a 5er. To my mind these basses are some of the best-value instruments around with good quality tone woods, Hipshot tuners and an Omega bridge. The bass comes with a gig bag. I don't believe that these are made any more and I have seen a few with the J/H pickup combo but hardly any with this J/J configuration. Spec: BODY – Swamp Ash NUT WIDTH - 39mm NECK - Canadian Hard-Maple FRETBOARD - Flamed Maple (305mm Radius) FRETS - 21 Frets SCALE - 35" TUNERS - Hipshot Ultralite Tuners BRIDGE - Omega Bridge STRING SPACING AT BRIDGE - 19mm PICKUPS - Voiced Tone VTB-ST pickups ELECTRONICS - 2-band EQ with Active/Passive Push-Pull HARDWARE - Chrome I’d much prefer to meet up somewhere in person to exchange the bass. If you are not too far away, delivery to you in exchange for some petrol money would be ideal rather than send my courier. If you are a bit further away then I’d be happy to meet up somewhere halfway too. If none of this is possible then a courier would be the last resort and would be for you to organise. I will be very flexible with your collection arrangements as I am able to work from home if necessary. Priced to sell at £275 please.
  18. Good to hear that you've got a solution of sorts there. I'll keep this in mind as I know I'm heading down that road myself
  19. Now sold elsewhere For sale is the Mk1 version of the Mooer Tender Octaver pedal. It’s a small footprint clone of the EHX POG unit. Such good a clone that they had to stop making them as I understand that they faced a lawsuit from EHX as the allegedly copied the EHX algorithms. This is the original Mk1 version, with original box and documents. It’s in really good condition as you can see from the pics and in perfect working order. Quite difficult to value and therefore price these pedals as this version is long discontinued. They go for close to £100 on some sites, but I've also seen them go on eBay for £80+, so I think that I have is priced this fairly.
