    Nice work there. Love the Ricazz. I've been comtemplating mutilating a P bass and putting a mudbucker right up against the neck only because I'm not a massive fan of the tele headstock.

    How about getting someone like The Creamery to make you some P/J pickups in the same size casings so the look of the bass isn't affected?

    Good point @ped I had a Bacchus P bass that was smaller in size to the Fender offering and had 21 frets.

    I think it's pretty much a black and white decision (sorry, couldn't resist). Grey pearl might be fun though?

    I'm due a new custom TT imminently and, as I was dithering a bit over p/guard colour, I ordered 2 additional colours as well as the 'standard fit' item. I know, I really am that shallow

    Sound samples have got me thinking about flat on one of my P basses. Hitherto I've stuck solidly to nickel or pure nickel round-wounds but the flats do sound really nice on that bass.

    How about the MIJ/CIJ Geddy Lee Js. Only the MIM or MIA variant now so they may be worth watching. I've always had a soft spot for the Squier Silver Series too. Then there is always the odd little side model Yamaha do e.g. the Yamaha Billy Sheehan Attitude Special that may do well in the post apocalypse.

    Light still a bit rubbish to do justice to a black bass. Managed to get a few decent pics of the 'board and frets for the time being though.

    I think California II series is a bit smaller as it was also reshaped to be a lighter-weigh bass that the first series.
