Pretty loud mf. a friend recorded this video: astonished by the sound and loudness. Only complaint - the highs are centered pretty high. Warm tones are not for elf, a

Twice since 2006 (regular gigs since then). One time the sound guy fried my Kustom Groove head - and then did the same thing with my Sansamp. Next, few years later my 3pro started to blast fuses in the club - luckily I had a spare Fender amp. Last time I had to borrow an amp when I took my Ashdown LB-30 to the gig and couldn’t connect it to Aguilar fridge since it was connectable only by using two cables.

Does a bass stand which really packs down into a gig bag but works exist?

I assure, it’s not any less stable than this: -

Hercules mini not for jazz basses? More like not for lame users. -
Hi there! I've recently put my hands on two new basses (not mine) and decided to record some short comparison. Fender Precision Lyte This one was made in 1986-87 in Japan. It's very light, quite comfortable. The preamp is not as rich in options as the one in the Sire, but no less versatile. The sound is in the "80's" style - clean, polite, with much high-end that can be tamed easily. Wonderfull for slap. Had very much fun playing this one. Has it's own character, sits nice in the mix, can do much but it can't do a classic P or J bass sound at all. Sire V7 I totally can't understand the hype. It's a very well made JB, with a little bit too chunky neck. The craftmanship is top notch - as almost every asian made bass nowadays. It's a solid instrument, that fills the gap between more expensive Squiers and cheaper Fenders. Great for "cheap donkey working musician" - like wedding or "Top 100" gigs. The preamp is very nice, but in passive mode this Sire is quiet, dull and liveless. Fender US Vintage '62 Precision Well - it's a P-bass. Not the best I've played, but it's mine and always will be Samples recorded using: Both pickups - neck pickup - bridge pickup - slap. For '62 P-bass it's: playing over the pickup, near the neck, near the bridge. Via AMP-BH420 line out (post very light EQ)

I have Fender TBP1, which is the preamp section from this amp. Great, but tricky. Flat eq is 2-10-2, so don’t be afraid to back up bass and treble and set the mids on full. This is a passive tone stack. The overdrive is quite useless. The parametric mids are great The room control Is amazing on difficult stages.

You can safely buy there an amp, but I'd be extra caution about the cabs. Their gear is refurbished, amps are pretty industructible but the speakers are often non-original.

Try CTM-30. Same amp, different look
Is it two cheeky to suggest my VS212?
Have you considered shippment to Poland? :> I was looking for this for a year until I settled with 610. But I still need something for medium sized gigs and my VS 112 is too small for that...
-
I use mine with ABM 610 and VS 112. Both great with this little beast
-
You just have to remember to push "shape/flat" button in ABM heads, because it has to be in "on" position to get the flat response...

lightbulb in my ampeg 410 HLF, anyone know type?
mazdah replied to skidder652003's topic in Amps and Cabs
Its a typical car bulb, you should be able to get it in any gas station or car service. -
I can confirm that they sound incredible together

Are Electro-Harmonix 6L6EH good valves? (+advice on valves)
mazdah replied to Lord Sausage's topic in Amps and Cabs
Yeah, EHX valves are just re-branded Sovteks as far as I know. There are better valves available.
Not rebranded, but from the same factory. Just like about 30 percent of tubes on the market, many brands but from one factory. You can only buy Russian made tubes, Chinese made tubes and JJ made in Slovakia. -
If all these basses you have, have had dead spots, i would suggest its how they are set up.
I thought about it for a moment and realized I haven't ever played fender without a dead spot on 6th or 7th fret of g string. CustomShop, American Vintage, American Deluxe, really old ones from 70s... Maybe we have worse ones here in Poland One beautiful P from 76 had a TERRIBLE one on 2nd fret of E string... Can't be setups fault in every of these cases. But I don't care. I didn't need to play the 6fret on g string since 2001
-
99% have them. My Us Vintage P has a dead spot, my Squier VM jazz has one, my two Mexican standard Jazz Basses had them too.
-
I use 30w all valve Ashdown which is more than enough and 150w Ampeg B1 which is barely but still enough for all my gigs. No need for more power. But I do ha be a desire for AMP BH410

Fender Mexican (Standard) Jazz Basses... What's the overall opinion?
mazdah replied to RustInPeace90's topic in Bass Guitars
I like them, a lot. The older ones are not pretty, definitely look cheaper than new squires. But they have a nice growl, not that rich as US made or not that warm like Japanese with basswood bodies. But I really enjoyed my two MIM Jazz Basses. I have Squier VM now and while I like the slimmer neck, I'd love to change it for a Mexican Standard of Classic. -
This is the model I can buy. I will try to convince the sales man to dig them up for me
-
Is the 2x10 capable of being use as standalone cab? I know Ashdown amps and cabs have usually a very decend low-end, but I never could any decent punch on stage to hear myself without mudding everything up with low mids of my PF-210 cab.
-
I recently saw them in my local shop, unfortunately user the big pile of other gear so no chance to test them without serious reasons. These are the newer models, the same as you can find on Ashdown webpage - small and black, not the "classic Neo" version. I'm using Ampeg PF cabs, but since I got the Little Bastard with VS112 cab and I'm very satisfied with the sound - my Ampegs are semi retired since last Christmas. I can't get VS212 anywhere so I'm thinking about getting the cabs from my local shop, they have 115 and 210. Anyone tried them? Any opinions?
Could be. I take it your phone changed first to jest! It's not the one in the video above. Were the first ones any good? It's got all the same knobs and sliders. Has the sub, drive and compressor.
Yup, that was my phone ;-) As far as I remember there would be no compressor in evo I, which is basically renamed Klystron. Some of them were slightly wider than newer versions. Tube drive and octave are from the beginning. As good as any other ABM :-) Maaaybe it has more mojo, because first ones were handbuild in Mark Goodays living room ;-)
-
If it looks like ABM that's probably one of the jest versions, made in 97-98. The amp name was changed later to ABM due to legal problems with the Klystron name.
