The bass I bought on here has a big scratch and a ding in it (declared by the buyer by the way!') and I thought of the old saying, 'Do I fill in the hole or just dig around it!' After years, I eventually got a black maple Jazz. Really weird design feature - I kept trying to fix the tone knob to make it flush with the body like the 2 volume pots. It looked wrong but I'd never noticed it before. A technician and I even thought of sawing a few mm off the pot shaft. Then I realised it was designed that way. Are Sadowsky and others the same? Looks wrong to me and feels wrong to me.
