1. After years, I eventually got a black maple Jazz. Really weird design feature - I kept trying to fix the tone knob to make it flush with the body like the 2 volume pots. It looked wrong but I'd never noticed it before. A technician and I even thought of sawing a few mm off the pot shaft. Then I realised it was designed that way. Are Sadowsky and others the same? Looks wrong to me and feels wrong to me.
2. Think they are looking for an upmarket Geddy? Beautiful!

8.
Age wise I have no idea I'm afraid, it doesn't have the latest style tuners on it thought, the frets look in pretty good nick to me.
Post the start of the serial number? 9. MIM Black Jazz with 2 wee scratches. Instead of buffing them out, should I buff them in and sand some of the rest of the slab?
10. SR300 in maple/white or orange sr300
11. You old bugger! If only you'd sold this first!
12. Beautiful colour - was there not someone on here in January wanting a Muse bass?
13.
This is the standard Fender issue case that comes with all USA Standard basses. I always use a gigbag so this is just taking up space. It's been shoved under a bed so some slight scuffing on the top but otherwise unused condition. Bargain at £30. Collection only I'm afraid.
I'd pay the postage to Glasgow mate with a courier - about £12!
14. If you are in so much doubt as to ask here, I wouldn't.
15.
It sounds like a fantastic idea. Dusty Springfield -- Spooky would be quite cool like that (sorry that's what I was listening to earlier)
Spooky - I was going to say that but use Martha Reeves and the Vandellas as an example! I'll never fall in love Bacharach Oasis used to do 'This guy's in love' by Big Burt too. Careless Whisper
16. I like the Big Al! Reminds me of Cameron Diaz's brother in 'Something about Mary.'
17. Look at the ESP Bugsy! http://www.espguitars.co.jp/gallery/tetsuya/index.html then click 04
18. The silver one is sensational!
19.
One of my best sounding and playing basses I own is an ESP 400 series jazz, seen in the below picture .....
Reeason I mention them is the current or last Guitarist magazine has a feature on the 1st Living Colour bassist and he's playing a red Jazz ESP.
20.
I own an Edwards bass made by ESP Japan if that counts? http://www.espguitars.co.jp/edwards/am/E-AM-128QM.html I have the one in Black Cherry. It's purrrrrrrrty and the output has more headroom than my Ibanez ATK!
Beautiful!
21. Just thinking about this. I bought a 2nd hand Fender Jazz for £320 and I think I could get my money back anytime. If I'd bought new it would have been about £500 and I'd immediately lose money. So, what is the best deal you could do. I personally think it is second hand. A guy in my work left the Army and there was an auction on his last week. He's a drummer and he bought a cracking Pearly kit, a Roland keyboard and a 1981 Fender P-bass in natural for £60 (sixty quid)!
22. Smart and expensive looking.
23.
I had a surveyor bass, took me about six months to sell it on here. Cracking bass but could'nt get used to its looks.
I like the look of the natural surveyor.
