2. Free of charge: I'll give you £50 the lot! Joke - best of luck selling.
 3. Think this is one.... ...call me Sherlock! And another.... Seen one on sale advertised as a Thinline Tele Bass.
 4. Don't think it would be out of order to name the type of bass. That being said, a lot of shops mention they personally set up every guitar....
 5. Merchant City in Glasgow are also distributors and will order one.
 6.
As Bachman Turner Overdrive said... you ain't seen NOTHING yet. Check this bad boy out - the Normandy archtop bass. Yes... that's Aluminium - chromed. Handmade in Oregen in the US, I'm lucky enough to own the guitar version in a different finish (a one off unpolished copper relic version) Craftmanship is second to none on them, really beautiful instruments!
Woof! Woof! Beautiful!

 8. Ahem...
Guidelines for SELLERS 1. Please use the forums correctly – listings must be put in the correct sections not least because people will not be able to find your item. The ‘Other musically related stuff’ forum should be treated as such – no selling furniture or exhaust systems please! Items related to bass playing and music in general are fine. 2. Please provide pictures with your listing, or show your intent to do so. It will help people judge the accuracy of the advert and help you sell the item. If pictures are impossible, if you can’t get someone to lend you their camera, you should allow viewing of the item. 3. These forums are for selling USED items only. If you are a trader then get in touch with a moderator who will be able to help you. 4. Moderators will step in and remove fraudulent or otherwise dodgy items. If there are any concerns or questions please PM a moderator. 5. You must state a price for your item. Anything without a price clearly stated will be subject to removal.
9.
I think it's interesting that 50 years on Fender basses from all decades are still held in such high regard. I love the Precision bass, why anyone would want to play a jazz beats me!! It's interesting that in the US, when they could have used anything, so many "First Call" studio players, the guys that created the records that form the foundation of popular music, chose the Precision; Carol Kaye, David Hood, Duck Dunn, Tommy Cogbill, Bob Babbett, James Jamerson, etc. It seems that many of the producers and engineers demanded that the studio players used Fender and I've seen several pictures of "Studio" basses in Nashville, LA and New York and they've all been Precisions. What's the betting that in another 50 years the Precision will still be with us?
The trouble with that (correct) argument is that it really only was P-basses around at the time!
 10.
Also worth considering is the Arts Council's Take it Away programme. If you find your ideal bass and it is a bit over your budget then it isn't the end of the world.
Good idea but I'm from chilly, chilly, jocko land......
 11. Stunning plank of wood mate - wish I could afford it! Best of luck.
 12. Why.....is the Fender Standard (MIM) sunburst colouring so cheap, horrible and nauseating?
 13. Martin bass? http://www.ishibashi.co.jp/u_box/e/ http://www.ishibashi.co.jp/u_box/image/3264573011.jpg
 14.
I have been playing bass for around 4 years now, since i was about 13. I started off with my dads vintage bass guitar which was horrible to play really. I then had my work experience about 2 years ago at a music shop in stafford, this is when i bought my second bass; a Washburn XB 120. The Washburn was 100 pounds and it played like a treat considering how much it is worth, i would definitely recommend it as a bass for a person just starting to play. However i have got to the point where the pick ups have lost most of there tone and there is a dodgey bend in the neck. At the moment my Elixir strings are probably worth more than it! So here is my dilemma. In a couple of months i will have around 600 pounds to spend on a new bass. I have been told to look out for Fender Jazz's MIJ because they are apparently made pretty well. And also I discovered the Musicman Sub Bass which look very appealing! Now which one would be best for someone who plays more funk and jazz style music? cheers Carl HOW DO I MOVE THIS TO GENERAL BASS TOPIC! SORRY
Just restart the thread on General Forums - nobody will bite you!
