Does it count as a Geddy Lee Custom if it's a Mexican Body and GL neck?
 2.
I am confident that this will be lots better than any of these http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=75301 The ones you have listed are all low wattage budget combos and while there is nothing wrong with them, you are likely to get a lot more for your money by going second hand and have something that you can go out and gig with as well. Well, that's that shameless plug over
3. pm's just been blocked until 30th January! I just checked online - are you certain it is 100W?
 4.
Cheers! The amp will be missed, as it's been a great little runner! The reason I'm letting go is because i'm upgrading to a larger combo as my band is gigging quite a lot now. Thanks
Would you post it? No wait - courier it at my expense? I understand if it's too much bother though.
 5. Right guys, in the middle o f the complete bassification of my life. Currently using someone else's 65W Laney - looks about 15 years old - and am now looking for the best budet amp. Up for consideration after looking on here, Bass Direct and Bass Merchant are: 1. Eden N12 £299 2. SWR LA12 or 15 (about £200) 3. Ampeg B100R (£349) 4. Warwick Take 12 £199 Anyone have experience of these or similar? Much appreciated.
 6. Beautiful! Bump for nowt!
 7. SB4000 B4 Just wondering. They seem to make great amps and guitars. http://www.carvinguitars.com/customshop/boltneckbasses.php Listen to Funkabilly on the video!

 11. Woops! Sorry mate - didn't realise you had your own little bastard thread!
 12. That guy has some of the grooviest basslines ever (unless Stevie said, "Nathan - do this!)
My mate who is a banjo player has bought one of these...a Charvel in black, 3 picks ups, passive, it's made in Japan, seems very old, heavy and has a great fat tone, bolt on neck...looks as this one in the pic'...he gave £50 for it ...he simply wants to know something about them?
I'll give you £51 ..... Outstanding purchase!
 14.
Cheers. Garageband drums are so noticeable arn't they? lol Z x
My wee girl makes tunes on it and she's only 10! 17.
Mrs Retroman has got one of these, and it's a cracking bass. Loaded with SD quarter pounders it really growls. Free bump for a great bass
ps - a bass player married to a bass player - take it you don't get GAS grief then!
 18. Update: I have researched on MusicRadar .... http://www.musicradar.com/forum/showthread.php?t=27027 ...and had advice from some kind souls on this site. It looks like I have to arrange a meet/pick up, find bubble wrap and a box (then dismantle the purple beast or sell the hard case and use parcelforce. I am worried that people think I am mucking them around but according to 'www.parcel2go.com' the bass and hard case would incur a charge of: £10.99 plus VAT (£13 or thereabouts) for ParcelForce 48 £11.99 plus VAT ((£14 or thereabouts) for ParcelForce 24 This would insure the bass up to a value of £100 (depending on how you read their info!) to but does not insure the case which is, bizarrely treated as packaging. So, I will have a wee ask around at Strung Out today to see if they have packaging but it looks like if anyone wants the bass, they'd have to buy the hard case too. I was not keen on doing that but if that's what it takes... How do people feel about that and does that mean I add postage plus the price of the case to the price? Could be £120+£14(postage)+£30(case) = £164 and that looks expensive to me (unless you think of it as £150 for bass and case plus P+P!) Thoughts? Thanks for your patience.
 19. New 30W Ashdown All Tube Bass Head http://www.musicradar.com/hotproducts/vide...7-550s-and-more
 20. I've had an offer if I post - so I am looking into it - but in the meantime, I am still looking for a pick up or a meet. Sounds so dangerous and sexy....until you meet me. Wee question, what's the usual about payment for posted items? How do we go about it? I refuse to use paypal as I was Skype/Paypal hacked and have not used ebay since but I also realise there's a need for the buyer to feel safe too.
 21.
try getting a hold of an empty flat screen TV box, you can get a big roll of bubblewrap on Ebay for less than a tenner. Wrap the bass up with the bubblewrap, place in the box, pack well so that it won;t move around and the cut the box down to the smallest size you can to save on postage. Parcelmonkey are currently the cheapest for sending within the UK but there are other and there's a FAQ thread for couriers somewhere around here. You'll have a load of bubblewrap left over for future things. I'm out of here cos I'm starting to get tempted myself and live close enough to collect.
Here - that might be a plan.
 22.
I've got an Ibanez Jet King if you fancy a trade? It's in almost mint condition
Sorry friend - I'm looking for dough...just like Humphrey Bogart!
 23.
Don't suppose you fancy a five string? http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=72580 Chuck in your case and I'd be happy to do a direct swap! Meet up halfway between Newcastle and Glasgow... which would be around, er - let's see.... Hexham I think?
Smart bass and I have looked but I'm determined to get a 4 string, probably Spector, Ibanez SGR300M, F-Jazz or if I push the bow-at out a MTD Kingston.
 24. Sorry - new.
