1. I always thought that Fender fell in the 70's too but the bass specialist in Guitar Guitar told me that CBS fecked around with the strat (using cheaper metals and woods) most of all but basically left teles and their basses alone. He then said that it would be up to the buyer to check how good the instrument was. Is this true?
 2.
I bought one of these two weeks ago from Bass Direct and I'm liking it very much. My objective was to buy a small combo for practice at home and for taking to rehearsals instead of my full rig and it does the job well. I've used it to rehearse with a jazz band, 3 woodwind, 2 brass, 2 guitars and a piano to contend with and there's still plenty of headroom. I was originally looking at the Eden N10 but when I played them side by side this had a smoother tone. The Eden was too trebly for my taste. Not sure how it would be for gigging with but it does have a DI out.
They claim it is good with a guitar too?

 9.
Hi again, anothe Jazz bass in black with a gorgeous maple neck. There are 2 small marks on the upper body that I have tried to photograph. Nothing too bad and it doesn't detract from the apprearance. Frets are unworn, and it's one of those bass's that is much louder than others that, I have Don't know why but you know how you get a car that runs better than another identical one. Would like £320 for this delivered. Thanks for looking.
PM'd twice cos I'm stupid!
 10.
Hey thanks for the interest. Yes you are right, sorry my mistake. Amp is 60 watts with 120 watt peak. Speaker output minimum is 8 ohms. Cheers Mike
Sorry - I'd rather have pm'd you about that! Doh!
 11.
There is already a thread on this here; http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=75289 Will.
Sorry mate - missed that!

Does it count as a Geddy Lee Custom if it's a Mexican Body and GL neck?
 13.
I am confident that this will be lots better than any of these http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=75301 The ones you have listed are all low wattage budget combos and while there is nothing wrong with them, you are likely to get a lot more for your money by going second hand and have something that you can go out and gig with as well. Well, that's that shameless plug over
14. pm's just been blocked until 30th January! I just checked online - are you certain it is 100W?
 15.
Cheers! The amp will be missed, as it's been a great little runner! The reason I'm letting go is because i'm upgrading to a larger combo as my band is gigging quite a lot now. Thanks
Would you post it? No wait - courier it at my expense? I understand if it's too much bother though.
 16. Right guys, in the middle o f the complete bassification of my life. Currently using someone else's 65W Laney - looks about 15 years old - and am now looking for the best budet amp. Up for consideration after looking on here, Bass Direct and Bass Merchant are: 1. Eden N12 £299 2. SWR LA12 or 15 (about £200) 3. Ampeg B100R (£349) 4. Warwick Take 12 £199 Anyone have experience of these or similar? Much appreciated.
 17. SB4000 B4 Just wondering. They seem to make great amps and guitars. http://www.carvinguitars.com/customshop/boltneckbasses.php Listen to Funkabilly on the video!

 21. Woops! Sorry mate - didn't realise you had your own little bastard thread!
 22. That guy has some of the grooviest basslines ever (unless Stevie said, "Nathan - do this!)
