1. Get the faded and relic it naturally by playing it! Noticed McCartney's 'bass player' uses an SG.
 2. Look like stunning big beasts too! Derived I know but bet they play great! Would love one.
 3. Scroll down: http://www.backalleymusic.co.uk/contents/e...ss-Guitars.html £99 My school just got 2 and they are really good for the dosh - inspired me to get my Jazz set-up properly!
 4.
Assuming your bass has grub screw knobs, the part you need is No. 099-0831-000 (genuine Fender) from Allparts.
Cheers mate!
 5. The tone pot on my Fender Jazz sits proud and means that the previous owner has added a nut to let it 'sit right.' I don't like it, so I bought 3 CTC pots to upgrade but then found there were already 3 like that in it! (I'm a fool!) When we went to put the tone pot in though, it still has a 'too long' shaft and the shaft is notched. Can someone please link me to the exact tone pot that should be used in a Fender Jazz MIM 2008?
 6. Smart as though...
 7. I've had a shot of a Ken Taylor in natural with the maple neck and it was beautiful. Felt like a merc beside a chevvy...
 8. Not as good as this deal: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=79377
 9. 2 weeks ago I was desperate for one.....bought a Jazz now you swine!
 10. Tell the singer that in his case, his face needs an aggressive sound!

 12. Belter!
 13. Now I know his avatar is his slippers, I think Rock God might be pushing it! Still - £20 for a set up on my Jazz bass seemed too good to be true. And it was, it was better than that. He went well beyond what a normal set up should be and even pointed out another wee flaw along with how to repair it myself cheaply. The bass is playing as good as my school's Westfield now (in-joke, see other threads) and I am delighted. And then, I get a shot of his James Tyler bass, Jackson bass, Valentine's Encore bass, Sei bass and some other thing like the Forth Road bridge. Finally, he offers to help my school set up all their guitars for a price I cannot share! Top man - I wish him well. Highest recommendation from me.
 14.
Whilst browsing fleabay for a possible cheapish 5-string, I came across this rather interesting looking beastie which is apparently a Hutchins Calypso. I've never even heard of 'em, much less seen or tried one, and the Hutchins site says not a lot about 'em... Anyone know anything about them, tried one, heard one...?
I know nothing but there are 3 hutchins basses here: http://www.forsyths.co.uk/guitars/basses Love the look of the Prince one!

 18. My school music teacher has been cracking up quite rightly as her boss in the offices has recently bought and sent to her:

2 crap westfiel strats
4 crap westfield teles
Crap drum kit with 5 tuning pegs that don't tune.
And today......
She shouts me down - 'Come and see what they've sent now!' 2 purple metallic Wesfield P-basses! Tried untunable guitars and agreed that at about £100 a crack, it would have been better buying 2 or 3 Sqiuers or Epiphones. Grabbed the bass, ran my hands along the underside and felt the frets sticking out a bit like mini-razors. Grabbed the maple neck....hhmh....strangely nice. Bridge - sturdy enough. Action and set up - good. Twanged it acoustically - 'this feels good!' Plugged it in and it was magic! Honest. Really nice and better than most I've played recently! Utterly shocked and forgot to try the other bass to see if it was a one-off. Don't hit me - I'm in shock!
 19.
Yep me too, but too far away
Add the postage and you'd get a sale I think.
 20.
Certainly is! Viva la Vintage JapCrap! Not that I'm paying much attention to the bassist... Jon.
She is stunning. Great to see a guy using ebay getting the gig!
 21.
HEHE ok, here is some porn Sorry no stands, I don't have enough to accomodate all my ladies From Left to right, Fender MIA 75 Jazz Re-Issue, ESP Jazz 400 Series, Warwick Corvette Standard Passive, Musicman Stingray 3EQ, Squire Vintage Modified Fretless.
Beautiful! Thanks for that. Love the look of the Fender RI but the ESP looks as if it could go into battle in Bagdad!
 22. Can I suggest this thread is pointless without some low down bassporn pics of the actual planks? Esp. the ESP!
 23.
Gibson double cutaway Les Paul also known as the Money Bass. BB
I know he switches a lot - just cos he can! Beautiful! And what is Corinne Bailey Rae's player playing on the Alan Carr show last night? (34.30s in!) Looks like an Ibanez Blazer! Is he a member on here!
