1. Hey Nessy - I could take that off your hands for 20 quid.
2.
Why would anyone be against Chrome?
All your browsing history are belong to google. There are versions of Chrome around without the spyware (as mentioned by WoT) but I was disappointed to see Chromium is still linked to google.
3. Just watching on youtube. Miss You was the first song I ever learned for guitar. As for the 'loose' complaints, I hope none of you ever see me play out, because loose is how I like to play. *edit* I've Just seen Mick Taylor take his first solo. Maybe not intentionally quite that loose.
4. I had a shimverb. TBH I was thinking more of the budget Chinese pedal cloners than Mooer & co. I can get a biyang reverb for $40, but it's a large lump.
5. FNM - they are, almost certainly, a re-hash of someone else's product, just like almost every other pedal, amplifier and guitar out there. Maybe they do use the same value components as an OCD etc, although I think that unlikely because many of these things sound somewhat different to the pedal they claim to emulate. For me, I'll try to buy the pedal with the sound I want, and many of these things have their own sound because of changes made to the circuit or values. I do like the tiny size, but have never had the sound I wanted from the mooers I bought (anyone want an elec lady?). My favourite overdrive/distortion pedal is a Visualsound Jekyll & Hyde, but no-one ever rags them about ripping off the tubescreamer or Boss DS series because they are a 'home product'. Tempted by the Rat and the tuner right now. Wish they made a reverb - everyone does delays.
6. Also available from Donnerdeal. For quite a few they have crossed the ethical line by writing stuff like OCD on the side of the drive pedal. Clone & emulate, yes, but to use the trademark belonging to someone else on the product, no.
7. Looks great Gaf. If I'm down in Chelty sometime I'll let you know, if you'd like the bucker fitted FOC. Though Seymour Duncan? I'm a Dimarzio fan.
8. That really is most excellently styled - well done.
9. Looks great, and that's a really cool *more than a Parker* headstock.
10. The biggest drawback of the Bigsby type is that they seem to be so heavy - every guitar I've tried with one fitted has felt like a boat anchor - even the semis. The other thing is that they will only give a gentle wobble, which is fine for most styles (and arguably easier to use in a musical context) but no good for dive bombing.
11. IIRC Jazzmaster bridges are a flawed design - if I were to buy such a guitar then I'd want to replace the bridge with a roller type to help it stay in tune and reduce flap & rattle. Other than that, they're interesting guitars.
12. Indeed, I've had stuff from GFS several times in the past, and on the one occasion faulty pickups arrived they sorted it out OK. Generally their trems, bridges etc are good, and I'm considering buying more.
13. Welcome to the forum. I really like Stockholm, and have worked there a couple of times (at the Karolinska sjukhuset) and was very happy walking back to my hotel late at night in January. Sometime I must take the wife over.
14. Have a look here: http://www.guitarfetish.com/Wilkinson-Stainless-Saddle-Trem-Fits-ALL-Strats-Sparkling-Chrome_p_895.html http://www.guitarfetish.com/Replacement-Tremolo-Arms_c_4.html There may well be an equivalent available from axesRus.
15. Most posters here may be too young to remember.
16. That's too good to leave - I've blogged it for posterity.
17. IIRC the Gibson Nighthawk series had 25.5" scale length - not sure about the Epi versions.
18. The American Sound is brilliant for bass.
19. Thanks for that - not tried either, but Joyo stuff can be quite decent.
20. Very nice - congrats. I like the Jazzmaster shape, but not the trem system, but some day I should give one a serious try.
21. Marcmart have a good range listed, but WTFaccessories are all out of stock. Hmmmmm.
22. Most likely either 2 people had different ideas on marketing/pricing policy or a little 'overproduction' found it's way out through a side door. I'm sure all the mooer units were genuine.
