    Plonked this atop of our rehearsal rooms Ampeg 8x10 last night for a giggle. Holy Moly!!!!!!!!!!! Still picking bits of my ribs out of my lungs, what a sound! With my flats loaded P bass it was like a freight train to the chest! :) Would very much be open to trades/part ex on a black Epiphone Jack Casady bass....

    Last night I FINALLY got THAT sound that ive been chasing:-

    '78 Tokai P Bass > Flatwounds > Peavey Alphabass > Ashdown 1510hx with a signal being sent FOH via an Ampeg SVT Tube DI box.  Amazing!

      If you like you stage sound, why use DI? Proper mic will do A LOT better job than a DI, always!

    Very tatty tolex but works superbly. Grill cloth, however, is good condition with no warping to the frame. I have added heavy duty casters to the bottom to help moving. The is the USA made version so sounds great. Always ran this with my Ampeg SVT III and a flats loaded P bass and got an excellent vintage beefy tone. Collection only from Bolton or our rehearsal space in Chorley. Can deliver within reasonable distance potentially. Price reflects tolex condition and pics will follow asap.

    Further Trades - I like P basses (not PJ's), Jack Casady basses (in black), semi hollow basses, and anything with a vintage/classic type vibe. Still prefer sale really but throwing some trades out there.

    As a bit of a BC Special Offer (and seeing my new amp needs a 4ohm cab) if you take the head at the £375 ill chuck in a tatty but fully functional USA made Ampeg 410he for an extra £100. A full USA Ampeg rig for under £500

    A recent lowball offer on Reverb for an old Peavey valve amp was unexpectedly accepted which now leaves me needing a 4ohm cab. I currently use an 8ohm Ampeg 410he which I love so im thinking I should probably stick to 4x10's and maybe a sealed cab (adding another cab to my current rig isn't really feasible, we don't play places that need multi cab stacks). Will be looking in the used market with a budget of say £200 to £400. Would consider a decent 2x12 too maybe. 4ohm cabs ive tried before include the Ampeg 410HLF (but too boomy and loose in the bottom end) Ashdown RM 410 (more meat on a spiders knee cap) and the cheaper Ampeg B series (again, muddy and loose). I lean very much towards a vintage type tone, using predominately flatwound loaded p basses. Whats everyone else using within this criteria?

    Original USA made Ampeg SVT III non-pro. These sound miles better than the current production 3pro's and much closer to an all valve sound. Excellent sound with recently installed 3 x 12ax7's. Can be heard/tested either in Bolton or at our studio space in Chorley. The tolex and wooden case i have it stored in is slightly too shallow so back of amp sticks out but case provides easier carrying capability. Ive put brand new handle and rubber feet on it. When on top of a cab it looks fine from the front and i have also installed Ampeg type metal corners to match the ampeg cabinets. Ive run this through my 4x10 and never wanted for more volume or tone. Proper classic sound with my flats loaded P bass. Also has a great DI that ive used to record with several times! Collection from Bolton/Chorley preferred but im sure we could sort something out either a meet up or courier at your expense

    Heavily padded and wide Minatour suede strap. Missing original extension piece but can supply it with a black leather type one as shown (either standard or extra long). Has had strap locks fitted in past. Excellent for weighty axes! Price includes UK p&p

    Bear Leather Guitar/Bass strap. 2.5" wide and extends from about 50" to 57". This is their Classic #2 model in a lovely deep brown colour with brass hardware. Very little use and smells amazing! Has had strap locks fitted which will be removed for sale. £40 posted or can be collected from Bolton
