My latest idea with @eude is to find a way to mate the OriginAL preamp with an ABM power amp/PSU in a more compact housing, like the old Eden WT400/550 heads. We reckon Ashdown could clean up with something like that.

These are really good and can ape an SVT tone for home practice really nicely -
The valve drive in the ABM 600 is different from the earlier models. It has a lot more overdrive on tap and can get pretty gnarly if you push it hard enough with the input gain too. Certainly if you compare it with the valve drive on my EVO from 1999 it would feel like it has a lot more drive and dirt

It is. I’m not sure of the design thought behind it but it is very comfortable to play. Perhaps it’s a belly contour for when I’m striking a pose similar to the below 😀

Yep, gorgeous. A good friend of mine was in Argentina recently and almost, almost, brought back a black one of these for me. We decided after working out import taxes etc it was going to get silly. For reference they’re about £1400 as a base price. They are gorgeous! -

Just weighed all my basses. None are what I’d call heavy (heaviest is 8.2lbs) - the TKO is 7.9lbs
