Except when it's going into the 4x8, then it's the one there instead.
Here's to helping unused gear get the use it deserves by other people Si
I'll poss drink to that soonly!
 2.
how much are you selling the groove 5 for.... perfectly fair enough mate, we all have GAS! although u sure u wanna sell the 8x8 rig? man id love to hear my bass through that
Nik has first dibs on the Groove I'm afraid (has done for years!! ) I'm hoping to bring the 8x8 to the SE Bash so if you make it you can hear it. And no, I'm not sure I want to sell it but the number of gigs I've got for the next year is so small having 2 rigs is an utterly pointless luxury neepheid - glad I'm not the only one
 3. Just coz: i) I want a Streamline 5 ii) I don't really need 2 rigs at all iii) see i) and ii) So was thinking the 8x8 V-Type rig could go. The Groove 5 could go. Hell, even the Groove fretless could go, it barely gets played. It's basically disguising GAS as GSS (Gear Selling Syndrome anyone?) Anyone else suffering form this or am I feverish?
 4.
It was only a fleeting visit to the factory - Rob & Dawn were at home taking pictures of all the stock basses & redoing the website, so just a drop off this time.
Furry muff. And what basses they are. GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAS
 5. My Retroactive
 6.
Picked up this beauty today at the same time as dropping my old S2 into the factory to get the preamp rewired. Thanks again Rich (greyparrot)! It's a 2008 S2-Classic 5-er in satin cocobolo with spalted maple board (you can't see the join between the maple & graphite - Truly stunning!)
Gorgeous! How was your trip to Rob, Dawn and the boyz? Did you get to see any of those stunning new stock basses on their site?
 7.
Someone's got the GAS...
I always have GAS If I could, my flat would be full of basses and amps, but the Plate'n'Dishes would kill me
 8.
I'm working on it Mert..
Sadly until I pay off credit card I can't start working on my end of the bargain! Plus added some positive "complications" which I'll explain in Sept when I see ya...
 9. Some of the old Trace manuals even admit this fact that after about 4 on the volume you won't get any more volume, just clipping. I'm hankering after a Series 6 so badly...
 10. Just bought Russ' Macbook - am typing this on it, hooray for Macs! Cheers man, twas a pleasure
 11. Think he's in London
 12. Not sure the shops have the stock yet, think I read on TB that they were delayed til Sept... May be wrong tho
 13. A minor and D minor are the same as C major and F major respectively, starting on different notes... After F major, let's look at Bb major: Bb C D Eb F G A Bb and then G minor: G A Bb C D Eb F G So keep going up in fourths (er, one string up from previous note, same fret) in the major key to get to the next major key. Same for the minor keys. EDIT - dlloyd got there first! EDIT 2: and explained it better
 14. If you can stretch to it I reckon THIS is a good little rig! (I know I know, I have one so I'm very biased etc, but it's a damn fine sound and suprisingly versatile for such a simple little thing).
 15.
F and C are the only notes that can't be flattened. E and B are the only notes that can't be sharpened. Note for all pedants: I know!!!
16.
Looks like I can probably make it and it's no problem at all to bring the cab and V8.
Hooray! Ta
 17. I regret selling my MIM Jazz 5. Well, no I don't, I regret not taking out the J-Retro when I sold it. Fool! Hopefully I won't regret selling anything ever again but at some point I suspect a bass or two, plus a rig will have to go (Actually, one bass will definitely go depending on when I can afford the Streamline 5er and when Nik can persuade Mrs Silver Fox to allow a Groove into the home!)
 18.
EDIT: Here's the other one... The amp weighs the cab down.
So glad you posted that, it's made my day to see a V8 again. Need ot see one in the flesh still... Are you able to make the SE Bash and if so can this come along too?
 19. Have you had any interest in this? Surprised if not, it's a cracking (if bloody heavy!) combo - addition of castors is a must IMO. Have a free bump
 20.
What you consider to be a fair price?
If it helps I sold one on here in November for £275, it was a slightly earlier model (1999) with carpet covering and a fully functioning EL panel (albeit a replacement from a combo rather than specifically the AH300 version!).
 21. Bump. THIS is the exact model of amp it was designed for - take the feet and handle off and it's a perfick fit. Someone buy both
 22.
I'm down for a 5 string Streamline!!!! Woo hoo
Sweeeet. I really want to have one but can't afford it til next year at least
 23.
*Throws* another £1 coin at Merton towards his Streamline 5 fund!
That makes £3.52 so far - any more donations?
 24.
Mmm....
Hell yeah. Two please
 25.
As I said guys, I tried to keep it simple! If you want more theory then do what I did 35 years ago and go to college or what appears to happen nowdays spend your life surfing the interblog :brow:
Alex's first rule is even simpler But yes, your analogy with a bit of added input from Alex makes sense to anyone who needs to know
