1. I have a spare Hiscox liteflite case which has been fine on flights before. Junction 8 M25 if you want to borrow it
  2. Here's my latest addition to the fold: Gotta say, I love it! It's not had any gig or rehearsal time yet but just from home noodling and taking it to lessons as my teaching bass yesterday, it feels fantastic. Couldn't resist when I saw it on fleabay...
  3.
Just for a bit of balance, i had one (the old carpet covered 100 watter) and really didn't like it! Decent enough for the money but the sound wasn't to my taste and it never seemed capable of delivering volume without being pushed too hard. Eventually crapped out and wouldn't stop blowing fuses so i swapped it for a black Big Muff. I tried one of the later ones at a gig and that actully seemed quiter

For more balance, my first combo was a Commando 15. Sound was good on it's own, but i found it was totally lost in a band setting. Got a Peavey 115 after that, found it miles better in a gigging situation.
The 150W I found to be more punchy than the 100W version i still have, but I would agree that the 100W ones certainly lacked enough oomph for anything but the quietest of gigs. They still sound nice though (IMO, at volumes before breakup )
  4. Lovely sounding combo I have the original 100W version, love it!
  5.
The MB112 combo was available from Thomann but last time I looked they'd sold out. Gear4Music, look like they've got them for £30 more
Aye, that be the combo, not the cab Soundslive expect more MB200 heads in 4-5 weeks. So my wait continues
  6.
I got mine from Soundslive a couple of days after ordering.
Cheers, will have a look! Re. the MB112, if you're referring to the cab it's not happening now apparently, so say Polar....
  7. I've had an MB200 on order since December, hoping it'll arrive soon, even more so hearing your report Thom
  8. Ooh, found it. Is it getting good reviews on TB then? Looks like their answer to things like the Big One and fEarful type designs which are springing up
  9. I've halved my stored stuff, still embarrassingly high at around 20MB but from now on I'll stick everything on my band's site and link from there
  10.
Mmmm guess not
No idea what it is... Linky? Intrigued, certainly
  11. Get a second 1153, that will sound monster. And be smaller

Apologies if there's already a feedback thread for Adam (also known as ___---___ ) but I can't find one as the search feature doesn't like his forum name, haha! Sold him an Epifani UL110 and it was a fantastially easy transaction, many thanks! Enjoy the cab dude
  14.
Thanks for your help guys, much appreciated.
Hehe It shipped today Adam, about to PM you tracking number
  15.
Wow - just saw this on the tin'ternet too. Very sad news. Dirt came out just as I picked up the bass, and then I was blown away when I discovered Facelift. Still two of my favourite albums.
+1 to all of that. Damn shame

Congrats to whoever scored this.
Sorry dude, had a few PMs earlier today which I've been working on, first come first served and all! Hope another one comes up for you
  17. Now sold pending payment, sorry all who were interested!
  18.
This looks like it could be a perfect match with the Big Baby T that I'll be keeping for myself. Justifiable business expense, hmmm?...
Hell yes.
  19.
cool cab , Do you have any pickies of the cab ? What are the dimentions please Chris
Hi Chris, hoping to get some pics done tonight. I do have 2 interested parties already so I'll let you all know what goes on with them... Mert
  20. Straplocks are included, yes. This is now reserved for Paul (mojobass), then Gareth then Rob if any fall through.... Cheers
  21. SOLD. Cheers all for your interest! This is a feeler but depending on the reaction I get it will (probably turn) into a solid FS... This is a very beaten up Groove bass which I picked up very cheap (too cheap) last year... It was advertised as well worn and with no strap buttons and here's a bit of it's history after I got it... To say the body has a few dinks is an understatement. I gave her a quick once-over, all seemed OK, but then I decided to tune her up,. The nut moved. I loosened the strings, the nut fell off. OK, no great shakes, a dab of glue and she's back solid as a rock. Then I checked out the battery. It has leaked inside the compartment, expanded and now won't come out. Plus one of the wires had broken off the box so it was useless anyway. New battery compartment was added. The volume control... non existent. Well, the knob was non-existent. Fortunately I had three spare from my old Groove 5er when I swapped them over for different knobs, so stuck one of those on instead. Easy! Finally, the strap buttons (or lack thereof). OK, I bought some straplocks for her, easy. Except that BOTH holes for the screws were so royally buggered that the biggest screw thread you can stick through a straplock hole still won't have any wood to bite against. Wood glue and cocktail sticks... She plays BEAUTIFULLY, sounds amazing so is just a very mojo'd bass. I'm only contemplating selling as I've jsut nabbed a rather lovely Shark 5er on ebay and I need ot shift stuff to cover the costs. I paid £125 plus about £25 to get her back up to gigging standard, so I'll sell for £150 plus a tenner shipping in the UK mainland. Anyone interested?
  22. SOLD pending the usual I've had this less than 2 weeks, bought from Mr Russ... Reason for the sale is I saw a very pretty Status Shark on ebay and I had to have it, so something has to go, and this being the last thing in and all... £200 plus a tenner posted to mainland UK. 250W 8 ohms 1x10" plus tweeter Pics later I might be tempted to sell my beaten up Groove as well, PM me if interested. It'd be £150 including a basic hardcase plus a tenner for shipping UK mainland...
  23.
really wanting one of these amps right now
you won't be disappointed
  24.
Am I right in thinking this is now wired in series?
No, parallel, like the others have said
and if so am I also right in thinking that means im running at half the power/volume?
No, full power (575W, 4 ohm)
if not am I completely wrong?
Yep
is it even a good idea to wire up speakers this way?
Absolutely fine
  25. Very interested to hear how this fares at a gig, sounds like a lovely little beast already
