1.
I don't want to fan any flames here, but I have to ask, why are people so accepting of this?
I accept it because any product which uses these handles could suffer the same fate (but not the same vitriol on here). EDIT: I should say I ACCEPTED it, because I no longer own a BF can with these handles. I have Gen 3 cabs now and the new handles are better
2.
I completely agree, I would describe the sound from my Mi10 cabs as far from muffled. They sound big and open, almost hifi. One thing that a lot of folks forget is that with all cabs, what you put in massively effects what you get out and some amps speak better through some cabs. My guess would be, that seeing you're already using Ashdown gear anyway, you'd probably get what you're looking for from most Ashdown gear. Eude
Spot on
3.
The Eden 1 x 10 is very similar & looks very similar. I wouldn't be surprised if they weren't made in the same factory?!! http://www.thomann.de/gb/eden_ex_110_8_ohms.htm?sid=54fe8d57c0d373f580e7c212daa2fb5f B
I suspect same factory with different finish (Ashdown vinyl vs Eden carpet) and different badge, yes As for the mixed reviews, bear in mind the Mi10 is £159 new, it will never compete sonically with higher-priced, better engineered cabs which aren't built to a price point. Whether that compromise is something you can deal with is unfortunately difficult to judge without using one yourself!
4. I have one for home practice. I used it last week at a jam night with my GK MB200 head and the rig performed admirably. For the money you really can't go wrong in my opinion
5. Don't pick it up by the top handle then I used to pick mine up with one of the side handles, never got hit in the shins. The top handle is there for wheeling it around, not lifting it.
6. What sort of EQ do you use - if you're heavy in the bass side you'll eat up the amp's power. Knock them back, turn off the sun harmonics and use the mids to give yourself the kick
7. You lugger b*gger. I was on the site at 9am and it told me they had sold out. Every gig. Pissed off.
8. Yeah sadly the S12 is narrower than the Super Compacts. On two SCs the CTM looks (and sounds) the dogs dangly bits
9. Ashdown CTM100 gets my vote. It's a bit wider than the S12 though
10. Sounds like it's around 15 years old - the AH300-7 moniker came about in around 1998 and lasted til about 2002 IIRC
11. That said Evenote isn't as intelligent as you require!
12. We've just started using Evenote. Free app on all mobile phones and you can access on PCs as well. It seems to work quite well and I can keep track of who owes me for our lockup each month
13. Lovely bass! Always been a fan of this shape ever since I saw photos of Phil Collen playing a Destroyer guitar on the Pyromania tour. He's now got a Jackson Destroyer which looks equally ace. The other pointy bass I'd like is the Hamer Scarab. Enjoy
14. Anything on Def Leppard's biggest selling albums. On the less well known stuff Rick savage does get more space to play around, but all their big selling songs have 8th root notes going through them
15. Fantastic to see another manufacturer/designer pop up on here. Very much looking forward to seeing the new stuff Paul - maybe some new valve stuff like your V4/V8...?
16. Agreed Mike is a star and I know only too well the pain you feel dude
17. Very impressed with your patience on this! It's going to look great to boot
18. Lovely!
19. These are excellent little cabs, GLWTS
20. Greg is a good friend of mine, buy with confidence

Absolutely cracking bass, absolutely cracking chap, absolutely cracking price! If it was a 5 I've no doubt I'd be having trouble with the bank manager about now
22. New T-Rex board courtesy of TPJ - not as jam packed as some on here and you could say plenty of space for expansion Signal from wireless goes into an SFX Micro Thumpinator, then into an EHX Switchblade - this is wired backwards as I occasionally find myself gigging without the wireless so it just means I plug straight into this and switch rather than unplugging leads. Also allows a swifter changeover if the batteries die in the wireless mid gig. It's never happened because I'm anal about changing them but you never know … After the EHX we go into the tuner, octave, Prunes and Custard, chorus and then SansAmp. These days I find myself DI'ing from the transformer derived DI on my amp but there are occasions when the SansAmp will be needed. The Parallel Out goes to my amp. I like the fact it looks a lot more stupid than it is - in actual fact there are only three fx and one preamp on here so it's all a bit overkill, but it works for me Also the perspective makes it look like the pedals are overhanging the bottom of the board. They're not...
23. Ah fair enough, the V4 badge is probably an addition after-market, afaik it only came into existence with the 2nd gen V-Type range. As for this particular specimen, I am quite drawn to it but would be too scared to take it out!
