According to some fb posts neither have the strings from issue 1.

I did the same once and was threatening with the 'I know where you live and I'm coming to get you' thing. Never again.

I fitted a DC socket to very portable board, powered by a Mooer 2A supply. Overkill but was cheap enough.

These three pretty much cover all my basses.

Been to some places that are as rough as, but all is good. Unfortunately one turned into a scene from a wild west saloon brawl, a Scarborough sea front pub. Needless to say we didn't return. No excuse for assault on band members though.

40 mins each way for rehearsal with the new band. Previously it was all on my doorstep as such. I don't mind the drive, it's the one day of the week the RS gets to stretch its legs.

Good progress this morning. Got a message yesterday that the keys player had called it a day but a replacement had been located. Excellent ability and a great guy who just fits in. Result 👏. I took along the SR2600 today which sounded immense. Had a SR500 14yrs ago, had forgotten how good Ibbys feel. So, we can start moving forward again and hopefully soon be able to put out some '80s vibes in North Yorkshire. Happy days 😃

Re Kwik Fit. It was 25yrs ago when I worked for them briefly. Vehicle servicing wasn't on the menu then, the 'technicians' earned bonus targeting the higher profit margin work. £1 per tracking, £2 per shock absorber etc, you get the idea. Problem was the decent guys left because they took pride in their work and mot testers, of which I were one, were pressured into failing things unnecessarily. Oh and our depot manager smoking weed alongside the young lads and the regional manager was ex DFS salesman. I departed to pastures new and never looked back.

I found myself in the unfortunate situation of working for Kwik-Fit for a few months after they bought out a decent fast fit that I had been with for 13yrs. What we were told to do by management to rip folk off was shocking. I didn't hang around long. AVOID at all times.

Took a chunk out of a 4003 headstock five minutes after delivery. Best to get stuff like that out of the way sharpish 👍

Immersion in hot water helps with both my thumb ip joints to the point I can begin to bend them slightly without excruciating pain. The pills and potions haven't worked for me. Thankfully this condition hasn't affected my fingers, yet. Sorry can't be of any further help.

Haven't owned my Pro that long but it ain't going anywhere soon.

Had similar issue with a TI B string and a Fender Jazz Ultra. Coaxed it through with a little soap on the silk.

£375 on fb marketplace. I also remarked on the socks.

My first was something called a 'Zenta'. An EB-0 copy which was essentially a lump of plyboard with some strings nailed to it, 25 quid 1975. It was dreadful but I didn't know any better back then. Replacement was a Aria Les Paul long scale, far superior. The Zenta suffered the axe treatment.

This 'box' has proved useful. A bit of a re-jig will house another three of the five I have hanging about.

Well I haven't been on Basschat five minutes compared to a lot of you. From day one I've felt welcome unlike one of the Ford RS forums I'm on. How I've missed this one for so long I just don't know. Pretty sure I'll be around for a while. Cheers everyone 👍

Good rehearsal yesterday. The keys player has jumped ship but a possible replacement attending on Thursday. I'm progressing well with the set list and the guys are appreciative of my ability, so all is well 😀

Happened to me once, hanging around to get a go for a couple of tunes. The house bassist jumped back in and that was that. Haven't bothered since, seemed to be too many egos going on with that lot anyway.

Evri driver knocked on my door 3 times within a fortnight trying to deliver the same parcel. The postcode on it related to a property 30 miles away. Couldn't make it up. 🙄
