Maybe, I just saw a fleck of red under the refinish. I'll pop some more photos up tomorrow

Another moment of madness, never mind. A November '63 Jazz. Refin at some point in early '70s. I believe it could have been CAR originally. Apart from that all looks good. I had it taken apart to confirm (photos to follow later on this week). Rusty strings, frets aren't great, sounds superb plus some provenance.

Loved 10cc back in the day. The performance from what is the current GG band was excellent. Scarborough Spa theater early this year π

Yeah, my initial thought was to re-string with EB Hybrid Slinkys but it sounds great as is atm.
-
Currently strung with new flats by the previous owner. Blue silks, not sure about what make. I'll be keeping them on for the time being.

Well, always wanted to have a go on. Road trip to Doncaster yesterday and returned with this example. A very decent price and it sounds immense. Not everybody's cup of tea but hey ho.

Lovely basses but I sold mine due it not getting enough use. I have a 2012 2 eq EB Ray under the bed if the need arises. Ian

I cobbled this board together for a couple of gigs last week. Ok, the switching is a bit random atm but have a Morningstar MC6 to integrate when I have the time to get round to it.

Lovely sounds & appreciation from my Jazz trio last night regarding the Lakland. I reckon it could be a keeper * * Famous last words...

Was thinking Β£500 myself, let me know how you get on π -
I've moved a couple of redundant basses over the last month and took a punt on this gorgeous Lakland 44-60. Cracking bass, first outing is rehearsal on Thursday π.

The saddles slide in the bridge assembly, locked in place with the allen screws.
-
Yeah, the two holes on top of the saddle. One sixteenth A/F (imperial) is the size of the allen key that you require.
-
Slacken the two 1/6th AF allen grub screws. Loosen the string(s) a little, move the saddle. Tighten, re-tune, repeat as necessary. I've just set up a Super P and all is well π

PIL at Scarborough Spa, Friday evening. Thoroughly enjoyed the performance, support 'Trampolene' were great. π

Collected the DB today, I decided to go for Innovation super silver strings. I reckon the guy did a decent job on the bridge and it is what it is. Labour charge Β£50, I made sure he was good for a few beers π Just need to hone my mediocre skills now π
