For sale is my Overwater Inspiration 5 string bass. This was made at Overwater UK by Chris May & the team, the Inspiration series were made in small batches (rather than custom order) to a price point with fewer options than the Progess (particular with regards to woods available etc - pickups & hardware etc are the same as any UK Overwater), so that it could be sold cheaper than the Custom Progress basses - a similar idea to the first Japanese MetroExpress basses that Sadowsky Japan did Make no mistake though, this is absolutely still a handmade Boutique bass and absolutely sounds and plays like one too. It is in very good condition, comes with a branded overwater hard case and also with a leather DSLR branded strap that has Schaller strap locks on to fit the bass. It has an Ash body with Flamed maple top, maple neck & maple fretboard, and proprietary Overwater pickups & 3B preamp with push/pull active/passive switching This bass plays absolutely amazingly well as you’d expect and sounds fantastic - full, clear tone which can fit into anything. The neck is amazingly comfortable, thunderous low B with piano like clarity from bottom to top Year - 2015 Colour - Natural Body Finish - Gloss Body Wood - Ash w/ Flame Maple facing Neck Finish - Satin Neck Wood - Maple Fretboard - Maple Frets - 24 Scale Length - 35" Weight - 9lbs13oz I paid £1375 for this a couple of months ago and have used it for a few gigs but I am really using my active Lakland 55/AJ a lot more for the gigs I’m doing, and cannot afford to have this sort of money tied up in a bass that’s not being used all the time: I’ve seen something else I want so I have put this up for sale at very good price - it’s priced to sell (and any trade would have to take that into account when valuing their own bass) Trades: Im looking for a sale really, however trade or PX may be possible (5st only) for the right thing, but not particularly likely. However I would definitely look at a Yamaha BBP35 & maybe a Sandberg VM5 - P flavoured & 5 string preferably, but will look at other stuff - try me I’ve taken a hit on it - it’s in excellent condition and someone will genuinely get a bargain here Price is £1150 - located in County Durham, delivery can be arranged

As new Genzler ‘Magellan Pre’ with box. 3 band preamp (with parametric mids), HPF & DI with A/B contour channel changeable by footswitch & set by dial. Same preamp and contours as is on the Genzler Magellan amp heads Channel A = Modern, mid scoop/Hi & Low Boost - sounds excellent for funk, R&B, slap, pop and many other styles and manages to have a mid scoop eq’d that doesn’t get lost in the mix! Channel B = Vintage, roll off highs & high mids, low mid boost and cut the ultra lows giving a really nice sound for more old school music - again can bet set from flat to subtle through to max - it’s very hard to get a a bad sound from the pedal, super transparent and very musical EQ & contours Check out the videos below for some idea of the sounds, but if you like a clear transparent preamp you won’t get a much better sound than this, and the switchable contours are some proper ‘tone magic’ Genzler Magellan Preamp/DI Pedal Features: Wide Range Input Circuitry Input and Master Volume Controls Variable High Pass Filter Switchable Dual Contours (A & B) Independent Contour Controls Same Magellan 3 Band EQ w/Sweepable Mids Signal mute Preamp Output—Capable of driving a Separate Power Amp Aux Input Headphone Output Studio Quality Direct Out Circuitry w/Pre or Post and GND Lift Lightweight Aluminum Chassis Construction Operates on any Power Supply Voltage: 9 – 18VDC, either Polarity (power supply not included) Dimensions: 6” (152mm) W x 4.3” (110mm ) D (w/ jacks) x 2.5” (63mm) H (w/ knobs and feet) Weight: 1.1 lb (0.5kg) Bought recently from Bass Direct for a fair bit more than the asking price so grab a bargain - has box and instructions Price = £165 with UK Shipping *May Trade for an EBS MicroBass II* DEMO VIDS:

For sale is my Master Effects Super 300 preamp. This is a boutique pedal that is made to order in Canada, which I ordered and imported recently. This does the SVT sound incredibly well, from low gain slight breakup to full on fuzz, and without hearing it through a PA or a cab it’s hard to explain how good this sounds, and just how much heft and massive low end it kicks out without sounding muddy (unless you want to EQ it that way) It really is a very high end pedal in sound and build quality - it’s only a few weeks old, I paid £225 to Master Effects for the pedal plus the fees for importing it. I knew getting an SVT preamp was a bit of a gamble for me as it’s not really my sound and I want something a bit less overdriven so I am selling this to get the Super 800+ (GK sound) which is what I should have bought in the first place! If you like the SVT sound I absolutely guarantee you won’t be dissapointed - the sound from this is huge and just incredibly warm and thick in the low end. Theres not many of these about over here as you have to pay almost £50 delivery plus import fees, so I am taking a pretty big hit on it, however I’d rather do that and get this shifted quickly so I can order the 800+ asap (as it takes up to 4 weeks to get your pedal from ordering) and I’ll be genuinely happy for someone who loves the SVT sound to get hold of this as I promise you’ll absolutely love it! Pics below and also a few vids - it’s hard to really get the full effect of this pedal until it’s moving some air at a gig, but I’ve been massively impressed by th quality of Master Effects, hence why I’m getting the 800+ next Loads of info about this pedal and about Master Effects over on Talk Bass too if you want to do a bit more reading Please check out the Master Effects Website for the full spec etc, where the functions etc are all explained better than I can do it: https://www.mastereffectspedals.com/superthreehundred *Reduced* - £135 inc UK Shipping!!! *Trades: Decent compressor - Lusithand Alma, Empress Bass, Cali76 etc. MXR Bass Synth 🤞🙏 plus cash to you (I’ll make it worth your while!££). Envelope Filter/Octave plus cash my way. Wireless guitar like Boss WL50 plus cash my way. DCX Bass especially - need one of these, but try me, low gain drives/pre’s etc * VIDS:

He said on IG in the comments of the post announcing this that he’s aiming for a price point of about $400usd - I don’t think that’s really too bad for what it is and when you look at the price of a Finally v3 & Single slice comp new

Lakland Vintage J single coil jazz bass pickups for 5 string jazz bass. These are really top drawer jazz bass pickups - if you search online you’ll see they’re very well thought of, and lots of examples on YouTube where you can hear them if you search for “Lakland Skyline 55-AJ” which is what they’ve come out of. Slightly longer bridge than neck pickup. All working as they should be - just been changed out for some hum cancelling Anaconda’s which are a totally different vibe. These are very much a traditional sounding jazz pickup, they are what come as stock in the Lakland 55-AJ and also the 55/60 & DJ5 as well (although some early MIK DJ basses came with Aeros, they were replaced with these), and these are very highly regarded - had I not been after a pretty modern sound I would not have changed them, because they’re as good as most available single coil replacements £50 for the pair including Postage! (Trades - Yes - try me!) *The Bartolini preamp that was with these pickups in my Lakland 55-AJ is also for sale for £25, but if you want it with the pickups I’ll do both for £60*

I’m not really a big overdrive person, but I still like some saturation, so I’m always looking at different low gain OD’s and various saturators/magic “toan” pedals 😁 I’m going to look out for one of these - how much do they/the mk2 cost at Horrothia, there’s a couple on eBay from Japan but that pricing isn’t necessarily a guide - I’m guessing £200-250ish judging by other pedals they sell?
-
This has me seriously intrigued - just looked it up and listened to a yt demo - right up my street! Do Horrothia ever have them for sale? Sounds great!

You need to bear in mind that the control plate on a Lakland DJ5 is a different shape to a normal jazz bass control plate, and so a normal preamp won’t fit straight onto it - that’s the reason for East selling a specific preamp just for the DJ bass. Assuming you can’t hold of an East one then you’ll have to use the existing control plate to mount it on

Great board that @krispn - right up my street 🤩

Bought this the other week on here to use whilst I waited for delivery from overseas, fantastic 2 channel preamp with extremely useful AGS OD channel - Bass @ 40hz, Parameteic Mids @ 180-1000hz, Treble @ 4khz. Selling for exactly what I paid - £108 inc delivery or always interested in Trades - can add cash if necessary

Thought I’d join in as I’ve got something mildly interesting to post for a change - this just turned up from Master Effects in Canada, ordered from him on Reverb 28/7 and shipped on 2/8 to arrive today - no fees or anything to pay which was a bonus. Haven’t tested it properly yet but going to gig it tonight with a local trio where I go direct to PA/IEM’s so we’ll see how it goes, might be on the marketplace next month 😁 Highly recommend dealing with Master Effect’s tho, it’s a 1 man band afaik (well he may employ people but it’s a small operation like Sushi Box etc) and he couldn’t have been more helpful. I’ll probably give the Super 800+ a go at some point as well - the pedal is extremely well made and sounds excellent but I’ll reserve judgement proper till I’ve gigged with it a bit

Second this - the TC Corona mini is as good a chorus as you could ever need and the toneprints are fantastic, and it takes up very little space

For sale is the amazing sounding Khan VTDI Tube Preamp/Di. These are made by Obeid Khan who designed the original Ampeg SVT-DI, and he said this the same but with some refinements and improvements to it It sounds fantastic as you’d expect - really great tube warmth to your sound, it’s not huge like the Reddi and can mounted on a pedalboard or used in the studio, I’m not going to try and sell you on it - it’s a real top end piece of gear at a decent price, I bought it on here a few months ago for £450, it has a few scratches on it and a small chip off the paint on the front but there’s no dents in the metal enclosure and it’s far from looking rough, I just wanted to mention them as it’s not in completely brand new condition I’ve enclosed a pic of it next to an Aguilar ToneHammer and a HX Stomp XL so you get an idea of what sort of size you’re looking at. Comes with its own power supply Price reduced to £375 inc special delivery (reduced to reflect the condition due to the paint chip on the corner) Cheers Video👇 Pics 👇
