  1. As new Boss CEB-3 Bass Chorus. Excellent condition, runs off battery or standard 9v, gold standard for bass chorus’s - I am using a Flanger now for the small amount of modulation I need and that takes up less room so this gets the chop. REDUCED £38 Shipped, may trade - have other stuff up for sale (Providence Comp, Markbass Boost/Filter etc) always happy to work deals out. Particularly interested in low gain saturation pedals but try me with anything
  2. Ben bought my Aguilar filter twin - top man, great throughout
  3. Are these passive with V/V/T/T or is it Active? Cheers
  4. Once you get to grips with the AGS (and realise it’s an ‘always on’ and to dial in everything else alongside it, rather than a 2nd channel) the Tone Hammer v1 is an absolutely fantastic pedal, couldn’t be more versatile really and the low gain AGS sound adds some lovely fatness/warmth to the sound. You can dial in pretty much anything with it tho, the main gripe from people was the volume jump when you turn on AGS but it’s designed as always on/always off I think, that’s certainly how it works best. Really excellent preamp/DI, bombproof and pretty cheap second hand
  5. I’m wanting to try this, it sounds ace on the demos, but it’s not cheap! That said, a good fuzz is hard to find and the fact the clean side/blend is a Jfet preamp and has its own character too is a big bonus. I’ve also never seen any second hand, which makes me think people keep them when they get them!
  6. Great little Japanese made compressor, lively & transparent with mix knob/function giving parallel compression - comes in original box, in great condition. Blurb, pics and Basstheworld demo vid below 👇 *Reduced: £40 posted* (RM Tracked) Ridiculous value for a very well made and decent little comp - Providence are Japanese and make excellent pedals! Trades?: Obviously 😁 Need a good low gain OD and/or fuzz (pref with blend knob) - Genzler 4OTF being my ideal one but try me, an envelope filter, anything preamp-y or mildly interesting - try me! Threshold and mix controls are included to take advantage of the bass's unique dynamics for aggressive sound creation. This bass compressor can add the dynamism of the original sound to a clear, bright, yet smoothly arranged compression sound. The mix control allows for precise and unique compression. ● Versatile Compression The Bass Boot Comp is a bass compressor that can add the vibrancy of the original sound to a clear, bright, yet smooth and well-defined compression sound. ● Versatile Compression Bass Boot Compressor is a clear, bright, yet smooth and well-controlled compression compressor that adds vibrancy to the original sound. ● Mix control to expand the range of expression The Mix control controls the ratio of the compression sound and the original sound output, allowing expression of delicate touch nuances with a core, or nuances of the original sound in a well-defined sound, which is difficult to achieve with a compressor alone. The "M" is the first of its kind in the world. Of course, it can also be used as a pure compressor by outputting only the compression sound. Adding the original sound to the compression sound gives a sense of openness, while adding the compression sound to the original sound gives a sense of stability in sound pressure. By approaching the sound from each direction, you can greatly expand the range of expression. ● Equipped with Threshold control You can control the reference value you want to adjust according to the output of the pickups and the intensity of your picking. Combined with attack and sustain, a wide range of expression is possible, from a thick, dense limiting sound to a speedy compression sound with an emphasis on attack. ● Visible gain reduction The gain reduction level is represented by an LED indicator and can be visually determined. The LED lights up brighter when it is strongly applied and dimmer when it is weakly applied. SPEC Controls: LEVEL, ATTACK, SUSTAIN, MIX, THRESHOLD Input/Output: 1/4" phone jack (INPUT, OUTPUT),DC9V input jack Power: 9V battery, or AC adapter/power Supply (sold separately) Power consumption: DC9V 25mA (with effects on) Dimensions: 115(D) X 73(W) X 50(H)mm Weight: 230g (body only)
  7. Haha - I can always find a place in my board and a use for this pedal tbh, it’s just an immediate ‘sound better’ pedal 😁 It really shines for slap tho, my slap sound is quieter than my fingerstyle, and I also figured out (eventually!) that I don’t want a dirty great mid scoop in my EQ, but this just gives you instant miller when you need it, then you can shut it off and go back to your boring tone with mids in it - it’s not the only use but it’s bloody great for that. I’ve actually done an ampless gig not long ago with this as my only preamp into a Harley Benton Magnum DI with a cabsim as I had sold my GK Plex and hadn’t received the replacement and it sounded class tbf, I only had the VPF at 10 o’clock but it was decent (and made me question why I actually bother pissing around with allsorts of different setups). Anyway I put anything I wasn’t using (and some stuff I was) up for sale to get me through a financial bind but I’m pretty much sorted now - if you do want it @lee650 shout me but I’m definitely pulling it in the morning otherwise
  8. I really want to try a subspace! That’s a pretty epic board for 3 pedals - nice!
  9. Gonna keep this I think - it’s a much better pedal than the price! I’ll leave it here overnight in case anyone did want it but was waiting to get in touch, otherwise I’ll withdraw in the morning 👍
  10. That is an unbelievably nice bass 😍 wow
  11. I’m gonna pull this and keep it if it’s not gone by the end of today - it’s a fantastic bass and I’m really selling myself short at this price, it should never have been under £600 really, it’s basically up for £525 as shipping is included - it’s banged up MIM fender money but you’re getting a very well made Yamaha. Anyway fair warning if you’re looking at it and considering it, I’ll be pulling it tonight if it’s still not sold! Cheers 🫡
  12. Yeh when I read about IRA treatment I sort of rolled my eyes and thought it was marketing bs, but almost everyone who plays the BBP basses that I’ve spoke to or listened to (or at least everyone who’s opinion I value) has said that it does actually make a difference - people like Ian King absolutely sing the praises of the BBP’s without any sort of sponsorship. Not sure if it is the IRA treatment or not, but the BBP’s definitely seem to be very highly thought of. I also really rate Japanese workmanship (and Japanese Yamaha especially) so I, personally don’t think they would do it if it didn’t have a definite positive effect on the finished product.
  13. Looks a great gig! Is that Mark on sax? Played with him when I depped in his Madness tribute, great player
  14. Yeh of course, I bought this but then shortly after got the chance to buy back my old Lakland 55/60 which I couldn’t pass up as it was the one bass I have always regretted letting go. Since I got that back it has basically been by number 1 gigging bass and nothing else is really getting a look in. I’d rather keep the 735 as backup, and for an alternative sound with the PJ config, but in truth I can’t afford to do so, and I’ve over stretched myself a bit buying the Lakland back (TL:DR - I need the money!)
  15. I love that fretboard - the body makes me think someone is going to cut it in half and reveal it’s actually a cake 🤣 🎂
  16. Aguilar Filter Twin envelope filter - great condition and super easy to use & get very useable sounds from. £120 inc UK delivery Blurb 👇 Boasting two filters in one compact pedal, the Aguilar Filter Twin dual envelope filter will give you both iconic '70s funk sounds and entirely original tones. Its two filters sweep simultaneously in opposite directions, one up and one down, for an incredibly expressive filter pedal. And with a simple layout featuring blend, threshold, and two velocity knobs, the Filter Twin is a breeze to play with.

  17. *Was looking at this last night and noticed it said 9-12v by the power input, so I’ve checked & tested it and it runs on a normal 9v pedalboard power or 12v, presumably there is more headroom at 12v, however I didn’t notice any difference - I know some were put off by the odd power requirements but I was mistaken! So there you are - run it the same as any other 9 or 12v pedal!* Trades? Yes, just fire over what you have and I may be interested, need a few things currently Fantastic and practical little pedal this - massively boosts your volume and immediately creates a slap tone via a mid scoop and low & high end boost - works really well. This is used but in excellent condition and comes with original 12v power supply - tiny too so will squee onto most pedal boards no problem! Reduced to £40 inc UK Shipping! Official blurb below: The MB Mini series of pedals from Markbass is made to the same high quality level as our standard effect line, but uses an ultra-compact, lightweight chassis. Smaller than other stompboxes, these incredible-sounding pedals will fit onto even the most crowded pedal boards, and the 9-12V power requirement means you can use them with any standard power supply. Give your pedalboard a “boost” with the MB Mini Boost—which also features our Variable Preshape Filter (boosts lows and highs, and cuts mids). Input: mono ¼” jack Input impedance: 1 Mohm / 6 Vpp Output: mono ¼” jack Output impedance: 470 ohm / 6 Vpp Boost Gain Level: from 0 to +20 dB Power requirements: DC Input +9/+12VDC* Dimensions: 48.4 x 38.2 x 105.2 mm / 3.23” x 1.5” x 4.92” Weight: 0.51 lbs / 230 gr * 12VDC power supply included
  18. Ah well there you go, some very good amps!
  19. The HB 800 Block is a cracking amp, I’ve read somewhere (probably Thomann haha) that it uses the same power amp as some amps significantly more expensive than it - I don’t know how true it is, but I have used it with a preamp in the return and it was excellent, sounded excellent flat too going through the amps preamp normally, for £299 great value. I don’t know much about the Bugera’s altho I almost bought one in the January sales a couple of years ago as they were like £120 or something ridiculous, I’ve actually never heard a bad thing about them - people who have them seem to like them, although I think most people agree that the whole “1000w” thing is stretching it a bit
  20. Anything with the Sadowsky preamp in - and for extra top end sizzle Dimarzio Jazz Ultra or Bartolini B-Axis pickups 😮‍💨 🔥
  21. The Anaconda is night and day better than a standard Sire V5/V7 - and I’m a fan of Sires too, they’re my favourite ‘budget’ bass by a long shot, but I’ve owned about 6 Sire jazz basses (not a V9 or V10 - they may be closer to Anaconda standard) and I’ve just bought an Anaconda and the difference is massive. The Anaconda is up there in quality with the Lakland Skyline’s whereas a Sire quite noticeably isn’t - there’s nothing wrong with them for the money you pay, but the Anaconda is a big step up. Also the Sire preamp is pretty poor and notoriously unreliable, but I suppose the perception of value is subjective and YMMV etc, for me I’d be looking at Anaconda’s along with Fender Japan/US, Lakland and Sandberg etc in terms of build quality, hardware and sound
