Basically, from what I can gather on here: https://vintagejapanguitars.com/fender-guitar-made-in-japan-and-crafted-in-japan-serial-number-decoder/ It was MIJ from 1982-1997, then from 1997-2007/08 it was Crafted in Japan, after that it went back to MIJ, but it explains it all on there ☝️ This is a Q Serial No + Crafted in Japan so it means it was made (sorry, crafted!) sometime between 2002-2004.

For sale is my TC Electronic BH800 800 Watt Class D amp head Ive had this for almost 3 years and gigged it maybe 10 times, I just don’t use amps anymore really and have a Markbass tube amp for the ones I do, so this is sitting do nothing much, and I currently have a holiday to pay off 😁 The amp is fantastic quality and incredibly loud, it also has the 2 x toneprint slots which I’ve always used for Spectracomp compressor and a combination of Spectradrive & Compressor, but you can put almost any effect in there - really useful I’ve looked all over eBay, Facebook marketplace and Reverb and these are mostly £350+ with the cheapest I’ve found being £300 on Facebook, I need to get it sold quickly really so I’m listing it for: £225 Delivered - which is an absolute bargain, this is in excellent condition and I haven’t seen one for less than £300 anywhere - most are £350+ Will be boxed and packaged very securely It’s a a really good quality amp and I’ve done a couple of really decent sized gigs with this and it goes a long way, for normal gigs it’s never really gone over 12 o clock. It is also very light, and in near perfect condition All specs available here: https://www.tcelectronic.com/product.html?modelCode=0707-ACF This is a bargain for a really good amp - it’s priced to sell and not looking to trade, thanks

It’s ridiculously good - I haven’t played a U.S. one, but I can’t really see where the improvements are to be made?! I saw a Custom Shop Geddy Lee on BassBros recently for almost £6k 😮 apparently only 20 made using leftover necks that were made personally for Geddy Lee (how true that is who knows?) but the whole Geddy line from the MIM ones to Custom shop are just fantastic

Fender Jazz Geddy Lee Signature Bass - Q Serial No, which makes it a 2002-2004 Crafted in Japan 🇯🇵 in excellent condition Based on Geddy Lee’s 1972 jazz bass it has block inlays, a super thin and easy to play neck, early 70’s decal, currently has black pickguard on but also comes with white pickguard too. Pickups are absolutely fantastic, the quality of the build and sound of these basses is legendary. Condition is excellent for the year - there’s the odd scratch and small bits of tarnish but nothing I can even photograph really, it looks a couple of years old at a push not a couple of decades! Hasn’t even got buckle rash - really decent nick. BassDirect currently have one in for £899 which has chunks out the finish, this is cheaper and is in much better condition. Postage is available at cost (£20-25ish) I haven’t got a gigbag or case to send it in, but I have got packaging and a box, I’m sure we’ll be able to sort something. Delivery: I’m based in Durham but if you don’t want risk it going through the post, as long as you cover the cost of fuel I’ll deliver (although probably not if you live in Plymouth but I’m happy to do a couple hours each way as long as I’m not out of pocket) **FINAL REDUCTION to £675!** 😯 For a Japanese Geddy Lee signature bass in great condition this is an absolute steal “ TRADES no trades now, which is a rarity for me, but I have real life expenses to cover unfortunately

I got this recently from someone on here and it is by far and away the best 4 string jazz bass I’ve ever played - an absolutely wonderful instrument. This is a 2020 US Fender Jazz 60th Anniversary (of the Fender Jazz Bass - not Fender itself), it’s in a lovely Arctic Pearl, with stacked knob controls, Pure Vintage ‘62 pickups, rosewood board with binding and coloured headstock. Absolutely sublime neck, it just plays wonderfully - currently strung with D’addario half rounds but I can put some pretty new roundwounds on it that I had on before if preferred. Comes in Vintage-Style Deluxe Hardshell case with Embroidered 60th Anniversary Logo & all case candy, certificate of authenticity, pickup covers etc I am gutted that I’m having to let it go, but I’m only gigging 5’s really and bought a 5st Mayones Jabba recently which wasn’t cheap & I can’t justify having this much tied up in it at the moment Condition is excellent - there is 1 very small chip near the screw holes for the bridge pickup cover (pictured) but other than that it’s in great condition. All specs below 👇 Bassbros has one in stock now for £1,499 Case is blemish free Covers and tags, COA Lovely Artic. pearl, in certain light it shows a faint yellow in some pics Year – 2020 Colour – Arctic Pearl Body Finish – Gloss Body Wood – Alder Neck Finish – Gloss Neck Wood – Maple Fretboard – Rosewood Frets – 20 Scale Length – 34″ Weight – 4.3 Kg's Electronics – Passive Pickups – Fender Pure Vintage ’62 Single-Coil Jazz Bass Gigbag/Hardcase – Fender branded 60th Anniversary hardcase Price is £1200 - shipping at your cost can be arranged, will be well packaged and I’ve got boxes I might trade for a bass up to £700 in value plus the rest in cash my way, but I'm mainly selling as I need the money unfortunately so it’d need to be good deal EDIT: I would be particularly interested in taking a Yamaha BB735a in PX/Trade, other than that just try me with what you’ve got, also may be interested in decent preamp/DI/pedals along the lines of Sushi Box/Audio Kitchen etc

I’ve dealt with him before and the idea that he’s just a benevolent collector that sells his basses is complete bollocks. He’s a sound enough guy and the 1 deal I did with him was a good deal for me, but generally he’s way overpriced, but he’s 1000% a trader. Case in point - a couple of weeks ago I messaged a guy on Facebook about a BB735a that was up for £450, and he said he was sorry but he’d just agreed a sale. Within 12 hours the same bass (distinguishing marks and strings showed it was definitely the same bass) was for sale by Tony for £675, so yeh I was a bit pissed off about that one, but if you’re not fast you’re last I guess, however I don’t like the duplicity of telling people you’re a collector and denying you’re a trader when it’s obviously total BS. You just end up wondering why, what’s he hiding it for? I’d still deal with him if he had something I wanted etc, it is what it is but it’s better people are aware who they are dealing with IMO Edit: Sorry it was a BB734a not a 5, but same rules apply and all that 😆

You’re absolutely right - this video 👇 from Vertex Effects where they interviewed him about all his most famous basslines he breaks it down and talks all about it (21 min mark he starts talking about working with Phil Collins) played on his Ken Smith. The video is well worth watching from start to finish actually

Great bassline that! @greyparrot if you use the Karaoke instrumentals on a track like this when doing a bass cover on YouTube do you avoid the copyright claim/potential copyright strike? I’ve uploaded a few covers on various accounts over the years but I pulled them all down, and they would almost always get a copyright ‘claim’ and occasionally it’d get pulled down or you’d get a strike for it. Is this a way to do it and be able to keep them up & not have to share ad revenue and all the other stuff that comes with a copyright claim? Cheers

Apart from having the finest first name a bass player can have, Paddy is also a great seller. I bought his Nordstrand Starlifter preamp/DI & NUX pedalboard which are both great bits of kit, and arrived with me well packaged the following day after making payment - couldn’t have asked for a better transaction tbf, you can definitely deal with him in full confidence

Edit - was beaten to it 🤣
