1. Where did you get you Smith from? :1)
2. Come on, you know the rules - no pictures = no bass.
3. Looking forward to seeing this finished
4. C*ck, I missed another DPC1400X.
5.
Don't want to get too off topic, but ...absolutely - I've been considering having the board on my blue AC bound. However, it's DN and I'm told Jimmy isn't always happy about reducing the visible area with binding/blocks etc. Dots, bound and beans does look a bit gorgeous though...
Would you return it to Jimmy to get it bound? GAS:
6.
I love these too - particularly gorgeous on a Jazz with bound and dot board! Mine (pictured below) isn't such, but lovely anyway
That's the only thing I wish was different on my AC - bound board.
7. Remember you've got a D 2 frets below every E as well - no need to detune for most songs.
8. Nice. I was just playing some filthy funk on mine. Great basses.
9. Alex, which filters did you go for? Your band sounds like you'll play at similar levels to mine. Cheers, Joe.
10. Well, just back from the hearing test - hearing is good but I have minor 4000hz damage in my left ear which is almost definitely from the drummer's ride cymbal. ER custom plugs ordered, here in 4-6 weeks now all I have to do is confirm the colour I want.
11. Weren't you on the recieving end of Ken Smith's legendary tongue, Kiwi? (matron!) Joe.
12. Just make sure you play as many different basses as you can to find out what you like and dont like before you order.
13. My 2007 J-Update 4. My favourite bass.
14. If it's got that neoprene foamy covering then yes. Use a towel, or learn to love the stain.
15. fan'd. One more fan and you can get facebook.com/bassicbits by going to facebook.com/username and going from there.
16. I like the drumming - he really kicks it off
17. I really do think that the recording is nice. I was trying to make a joke that your frontman sounds like Liam Gallagher. No sarcasm
18.
Hoping Wayne won't mind me recycling his pic, its at the practice space currently.
Oh, sweet irony.
19. Sweet bass, I would like it very much.
20. It might play like liquid Jesus dipped in butter, but if it doesn't look good I won't buy it.
21. Wow, you have Jesus H. Christ on keys!
22. I like your name. I like the sound. I think the recording is really nice. It's amazing what your can do "yourself" these days, isn't it? Is your frontman called Liam?
23.
Or a cheap flight and a quick sprint through the 'nothing to declare' aisle!
Just make sure to whistle, nonchalantly as you go through. This is a clear indicator to HMRC agents that you have nothing to hide. I'd also suggest walking jauntily.
24.
Was the blonde with the prominent "assets" in the photo just a coincidence then??
That's just what it's like in Harrogate, bro!
25.
Whoops I didnt even mention the IPs. If I had the money I would opt for an IP and pre...but I think its going to be passive cabs. How are you finding the EX112ER?
I only ever use it with the IP112ER, so it's not really a great comparison. I really like the sound. It really feels like you get out what you put in. Plenty of clarity, low distortion and lots of volume.
