1. I love the Celinder 4's (own one!) but I think the Celinder 5's can look quite ugly. He also tends to go for ridiculous birdseye boards and necks which aren't my thing, especially with then a vintage tint and gloss applied over the top - but then, different strokes for different folks, right? Whatever gets you through the night
2. There's a place in Leeds stocks the REDDI (!! I know, I wouldn't have imagined it either !!) so if you're interested let me know and I'll pass the details. You're also welcome to try my Avalon U5 out
3. Damn, that's what you get for googling.
4.

Love that. What a stunner.
5. I always think that. It's implicit in ebay that there's no returns or refunds - so why do these sellers insist on pissing me off by writing it?
6. If I'm not mistaken Ant's been fully paid up for over a year .
7. I believe Ant is expecting his bass in a couple of weeks. It seems those that shout loudest at Shuker get their basses finished first.
8.
Cwooooar! Thats about it then for you, no need to come on here any more for amps and cabs, all sorted then - right?
Pretty much. I have great sounding basses, so I just want to sound like them - but louder. The U5 and the Berg give me that. I did my first recordings last night with my Sadowsky->U5->Logic and it sounded really great. I am very happy
9. I'm all about the cleans.
10. I'll take the Power bass strings, defnitely. I'll pm you to work out payment later ontoday.
11.
Very true about the 'cost is all relative comment'. For example, when a BC'er posted a comment in another thread with the (effective) message 'you've got nothing to moan about compared to those in Haiti', it struck me that you can cast almost any comment in a selfish light relative to something else. The MIM fender being a good example.
I like to call those "Big hammer, small nut" arguments. The favourite example is "well at least you're not a Jew in Nazi Germany". People make them all the time, and it should be against the law. They should have to play a verse of Mustang Sally as punishment.
12. Looks great T. Glad to see that you're getting out so regularly at the moment
13. Nice looking bass! It sounds like you have some nice other basses too, and I'm sure other members than just me would like to see some photos of them if you could post them in the "Bass Porn" forum.

15. Raggy - the americans go nuts for those.
16. This would have been a lot simpler if he'd just spent £40 on travel insurance. Never the less, I will be sending a donation.

18. Quick iPhone snap of mine with my new U5. Sounds good.
19. What's the value of the bass? I'd personally (and have) used SIMS Custom.
