1.
Do you find it has a lot of neck dive? I tried lovely semi hollow ASAT recently but the neck dive put me off
No neck dive of any sort, I'm pleased to report.
2. I have a G&L Asat bass that I would say is the best built and sounding bass I've ever owned. I think the main problem with G&L is they don't seem to be stocked much in the UK. I can't recall ever seeing a add for them in any of the media.
3. In other news, I was very disappointed with ELO very dull indeed, in fact it was a bit painful.
4. I have always thought Coldplay are the dulliest band on the planet, so I just didn't watch them. It was as easy as that.
5. Just watched last nights 22-06-16. Did seem to be a little like the George Benson show. Very little playing from the competitors and a bit to much of George telling us about his career and experiences. I would have liked more contribution from the players who have got through, not just a very successful musician playing and talking at us. That is just my take on the show, I'm sure others will see things different. I liked last year, so I hope this year is as good if not better, we shall see..
6.
Sad, isn't it..? Some 'bassists' slap, too. It stems from the same glands, I reckon.
Now that really made me laugh, that did brilliantly put
7. I would have thought you can read your comment for yourself, no further explanation should be needed.
8.
I've been reading up the guardian's blurb associated with that name. I won't comment other than to say I would question her nationality before questioning her sexuality. Of course, I am doing neither, you brought the name up.
I find it really hard to believe that in 2016, educated people can come out with this kind of comment. You really think this way, REALLY!!!
9. Joe Bonamassa Symphony at the tower Preston, July 2nd FAB!!
10.
It's got nothing to do with "fairness", people have a choice as to whether they pay to see them or not.
I agree to a point. Older bands rely on long term fans, who sometimes I think are taken for a bit of a ride when said bands become a bit of a joke.
11.
Fixed.
Hahahahaha that is another story altogether........
12. I have been a YES fan from the 70s and followed the band up till the Drama album. I've not felt they have put out anything much good since that time. When Jon Anderson left I did feel it was perhaps time the band called it a day and went out while still in a lot of fans eyes sounding great. When Chris died that in my opinion should have definitely been the point that YES is no more. Between Jon and Chris that was the sound and main driving force of YES. It seems to me YES have become a tribute band of themselves, not the way this should have gone. I think the same about THE WHO, after John died the final part of the sound of THE WHO has gone, time to call time guys. I know some feel these band if they can should carry on, but when they have become a tribute band charging full money for gigs etc, is that really being fare to the fans who pay to keep them going?
13. Luv it and I don't normally like the bowl of noodle type of playing, very Hendrix that at the time had very similar reactions from the lovely good ol US of A. Ta very glad
14. I have just bought a pair of Rokit 6 from PMT Manchester, spent most of the day trying different speakers and found these to my ears to be the best for my budget. Very close thing though between the 7" Yamaha and these. I felt the 5" Rokits not have a "something", not sure what, but they didn't have it for me. I would recommend finding a store you can demo a few monitors that are in your range. Everyone is different, I was thinking from what I have read the Yamaha would be the speakers for me. After test driving the Roket 6" just had the sound. Ps. Take some recorded music with you. Something you know, listen to how different monitors make familiar recording sound. Let your ears be your guide. Good luck. Ta very glad Dale (BIGd)

16. I think you might need the love of a good partner, sounds like that is your problem. A bass will never replace this, and you run the risk of SPLINTERS!!!
17.
Should have said - do you have the original Steinberger Synapse gigbag or a generic? The Steinberger one is not too bad - a little tight but well padded and made from pretty tough material. If you've not got one of those might be worth trying to track one down - though no idea from where...
I have the gig bag the bass came with, it has Steinberger on the pocket. Not quite tough enough if something falls on it, when in the car or band van etc. Although I can see it would be quite a good bag to just carry a bass in.
18.
There are padded gig bags on eBay at the moment. I know it's not the same . When commuting , I prefer gig bags . If driving , then yes hard cases are the way to go .
My stuff all goes in the car, never travel any other way. This is why I'm really looking for a hard case, otherwise the gig bag that the bass came in would be fine.
19. I think due to the world we now live in, a gun case would not be a wise choice. Shame though,I think it would have made a good fit.
20. Headless 5 string fretless bass from my lovley Wife, plus là Bella flatwounds for said bass. Mrs BIGd buys all my guitars as pressies. Ta very glad
21. Gun, keyboard or guitar case options seem like good ideas, although I think a gun case might be expensive. I have seen them on Thornman but never seem to be in stock. All great ideas please keep um coming. Ta very glad
