@ped I wonder about this feature every time I see one member contact another member.

Shouldn't these sorts of 'status updates' be part of the private messaging system within BC?.  Surely one-to-one communications should not be seen in the public status updates?

I would hope that recipients of these sorts of approaches in public will respond in private.

Also, I used to see the moderators and their territories on the homepage on the old site.  That seems to have changed since the site migrated so I apologise for taking this to the top, as it were.

Well, it's up to individuals how they want to communicate, we supply lots of options. I don't think it can be turned off but will check. Thing is, if I turn it off, some won't like that either. Best to let individuals respond as they prefer, I think?

But more importantly, does KiOgon still do the of repair? Does he even realise that he has been asked a question?
