  1. It is an absolute classic.
  2. This, plus in my case, losing around 4 stone.
  3. Fancy wood body.
  4. I could never buy a Wal. 1, I could never afford one, 2, that headstock!!!
  5. The smell is absolutely nauseating.
  6. @neepheid just beat me with the same phrase. Great minds...
  7. Do you have a lounge/kitchen area? Food and drink only in that area. Your studio, your rules.
  8. Sorry for the boast, but I have a credit on this album 🙂
  9. Ah, sorry - your fault for making such a popular thread 😎
  10. So sorry 😟
  11. What's Johnson's excuse 🤔
  12. This thread is now a bit too long to double check everything, but I'm sure neither of these are on here yet: Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac - I Need You Love So Bad Led Zeppelin - Since I've Been Loving You
  13. Peter managed to keep a little bit of magic in his playing in the early 2000s. I worked with him and @mybass on a couple of albums at that time, and, yes, it was hard work, but the flashes of brilliance were still there.
  14. That'll be one Mr Edwards.
  15. That's a shame. A.S.S. are decent promoters. Sadly, having seen John performing in his mid 80s, I don't think you missed much 😟
  16. Two fabulous tracks from way back when. First up, a masterclass in duetting - Billy Eckstine and Sarah Vaughan, Passing Strangers. And another great Jazz singer, with one of her more popular, less Jazzy outings, but still a gorgeous track, Ella Fitzgerald, Ev'ry Time we Say Goodbye, complete with that fabulous line, 'but how strange the change from major to minor'
  17. It's the accent on the 2 of the second bar that gets me. 3/4 can often sound so lumpy, but this makes it move beautifully.
  18. Exceptional artist. Worked with some great players, producers and arrangers. Love the drums on Just a Little Loving from Dusty in Memphis. Probably overlooked for many years due to her personal life which is very sad.
  19. Welcome to the very small club - thought I was the only member!
  20. Its universal appeal crosses continents, age groups and social classes. I have no idea why this track in particular, but it just seems to have a powerful effect on a vast number of people.
  21. Gmail email account, PayPal friends and family, you provide the PA - the signs are there...
  22. Doesn't stop it from being great. I also nominated Careless Whisper which I've never liked.
  23. I think there needs to be context here. Hotel California is a great track on a universal stage. Ain't No Love in the Heart of the City is a great Blues Rock track. Yes, the latter is subjective, but the former isn't 😏
  24. Are the ones that your average networking punter has heard of any good at this? Guy Pratt has a very loyal audience for his chat shows, but many of your audience probably haven't heard of him. Are some of the tales now a bit out of touch with modern values? Apart from that, it sounds like a good idea.
  25. I worked with him on the clip I posted, and even that 20 years was a bit of an ouch moment too!!
