1. I played a 4 string single pickup US model in Wunjos just before Christmas. It was a very well put together bass and sounded fab, but it was too neck heavy for me to consider ever buying it.
2. Anyone run one of these with a bass?
3. It's just that it's a non-debate IMHO: if you want the DI, get the DI version. If I had called this thread "Should it be compulsory for the new Demeter Minnie VTBP-M-800D to be fitted with a DI" or "What's the point of an amp without a DI?" then I would have expected such debate. Anyway, no big deal.
4. Major thread derailment guys If you want the DI version of this head then buy it. If you don't, dont.
5.
Is it that much more to have it included?
Yes, but I don't know how much on a UK-imported one.
6.
Why select non-DI? Does the inclusion of the Jensen output transform DI bump the price or is the price Barrie quoted inc' this feature?
All my work is live and small scale, so I have no need for a DI.
7. I spotted this photo on Facebook a couple of weeks back and was intrigued... It turns out that Demeter are bringing out a new tube preamp/class D power amp head: the Minnie VTBP-M-800-D! I have ordered one (non-DI) from the good people at Bass Gear, and it should be with me in a couple of weeks - first one in the UK!
8.
My new Tony Franklin fretless has come in a 9lb 8oz
Any my new Tony Franklin fretted weighs 8lb 12oz...
9. Sold a set of strings to Rich. Perfect deal and I would happily transact with him again!
10. That sucks. Looks like G&G sell replacements though.
11. I own a BSX Allegro which, to my ears, does a great job.
12. Wow, that is a beautiful example of a terrific (and rare) bass
13. I sold Steve a gig bag. The deal was as smooth and silk and he was a pleasure to deal with. Hopefully next time we can grab a beverage and have a bit of a natter.
14.
and we all know how hard these are to find in the UK (ask walbassist!)
Yes indeed, they are hard to find, but oh so worth it! I actually bought both of mine from this guy, so if anyone wants to go down this road PM me and I will tell you about my (very positive) experience with this seller
15. And down to two...
16. Sold Mark a valve. A small deal, but impeccably executed. Would happily deal with him again
17. Having fallen totally in love with La Bella white nylons I've decided to put them on my fretless as well, so these steel flats are for sale. Gauge is 45/65/85/105, and they've been on my P bass less than a week so haven't even broken in yet. Best price I can find is £34 posted, so save a few quid and get these for £30 posted. Cheers Gareth
18. Having just bought a Vertigo for one of my basses, I much prefer the form factor of this bag over the M80, so if anyone would like to trade their Vertigo for my M80 just give me a shout. I took the bag in via a trade and haven't had it long. It's in good condition with no rips or stains, but you can tell it isn't brand new. It is also an older version so it isn't Tick compatible. My bag is steel grey, and I would prefer the Vertigo to be the same colourway, but it isn't necessary a deal breaker. Cheers Gareth
19. And sold, thanks to all those who expressed an interest.
20. Just sold a gig bag to J. Couldn't have been asmoother transaction, so I'd happily deal with him again
21. These will all be made in China, with an RRP of £699.
