1. Great news. Woo for youtube!
2. Ahhh...validation!
3. Glad it went well Captain. Turns out we have a mutual friend. I saw some piccys of the gig on Maria's Fb page!
4. Quite a lot of listens but no comments? It doesn't sound that bad? Does it?
5. I rather like her myspace stuff. It has a little bit of a Jill Scott vibe which is fine by me.
6. Just a quick heads up that the price of these appears to have dropped to £249 putting them well into bargain territory. I am not peeved that I paid £300. Not at all. Just added some proper soundclips here... http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=88587
7. Just thought I would add a couple more sound samples of the bass. Recorded straight into Ableton Live, both pickups on full, no post eq of any kind. For those interested the guitar on the first track is my £60, 1996 Squier Affinity.
8. It's a close call that one. Rather worrying that you play so much better than me while wearing a glove. Has anybody got a boxing glove?
9. I haven't played it yet. Like an idiot I didn't pre-order and everywhere had sold out. My total goddess of a wife found me one lunchtime so I will get it about 6pm. My sister-in-law absolutely raves about it. Apparently her and a couple of mates pretty much spent an entire day hunting for various animals. I think you can pretty much please yourself with the online modes. There are the typical death matches, capture the flag type deals or you can you randomly explore the world.
10. Red Dead Redemption for the 360, lots of pizza, lots of beer.
11.

All that time and effort for one reaction.....totally worth it!
12. I like a bit of quilted myself.
13. I admit to being a bit intrigued by this glove thing so I decided to do my own little sound test. Apparently my bass playing is completely shot and I can't play in time with or without gloves but have a listen any way. One half is played au naturel and the other wearing some woolly gloves from Next. See if you can tell which is which.
14. Another winner. Nice work...again!
15. Fantastic looking bass. Nice one. I absolutely have no idea why there aren't more three single coil basses around.
16. Due to my hatred of having too many unused accounts all over t'web I haven't registered but I want to know what's going on.
17.
Depending on how the pickups sound I may upgrade to EMGs and think about changing the scratchplate..... maybe to a blue mirror. Anyone have any other scratchplate suggestions?
Tort.
18. You're going to make me do a review aren't you? I'm not sure I have been playing bass long enough for my opinion to be valid. Yup, totally slab top as opposed to the slight arch of the Aerodyne and with a traditional belly scoop for the doughnut fans. Myself included. I've got a second bag of chocolate filled ones to get through. Damn 2 for £1 offer!
19. He she is...brand new Retrovibe Aero 2 from www.probass.co.uk
20. Just listened to the clip again with my sub woofer unplugged...I see what you both mean! Rattle city! The extra bass from the sub had hidden most of the buzz. A lighter touch it is then! EDIT: Just added a cleaner version of the bass part in the bass porn forum.
21.
Sounds like a really nice honest bass, Paul. I agree with you in that it could do with some different strings by the sound of it. If you're keeping the action that low you'll need to play a little less aggressively, though Nice sounding bass for not much money. Good choice
Cheers OTPJ. I think I will get some D'Addarios on it at some point. I was toying with raising the action a touch but I do like a little bit of buzz and rattle when I dig in!
22. Here is another sound sample. Fingerstyle this time and with other instruments. I realise I am totally rubbish at soundclips.
23. Seems solid enough. I haven't noticed it being any worse than a bolt on. After a bit of tinkering this thing pretty much has the lowest action of any bass I have owned. It's got a nice flat fingerboard too so I'm happy!
24. £299 plus £20 shipping. I was actually tempted by the Ray which is odd because I have never really liked them before.
