I play in a heavy Drop C band with 2 loud guitarists and hard hitting drummer ..... Volumes no problem at all with the R-400 ( no struggles), obviously cabs can play a part ( I use a 6x10) As been said in this thread....I was initially concerned about the apparent lack of eq before I got one, it's very good and versitile .mixing it up with the drive or clean ,contour bright button gives it plenty of very usable different sounds. It just cuts through wonderfully.still amazed by it

I had one to try, and yes I found the lows dropped out a little bit, sadly as it was nice sounding

Sure is the biz 🙂 what kind of music you playing with it? I play Drop C p bass into a 6x10 as well... Bright button in cut the lows a touch, highs just past noon ,contour off and through clean channel......= My perfect tone. Such a cool amp

Fitted it all up and set heights etc.....pick played with a kiogan loom. Very impressed 🙂 best £35 I've spent. Nice and even with lots of vintage punch.

Cool , gonna give the to riders a punt ( no loss at that price)vintage and even is what I'm wanting ,a little less hot than the dimarzios. The entwistles sound good .......but as fickle as it sounds, I hate the look of the screw( flat head look) pole pieces.

Anyone use these pickups? I'm a longtime fan of dimarzio model p's with my p bass ( tried many pickups over the years)... But a new project has me playing a lot of chords and I'm finding the dimarzios break up far to easy for multiple string playing. Any pros and cons with the tone riders? Price of them is a big plus 🙂

I'd only ever use it at 4ohm and it's incredibly loud....real old money 400w.
