  1. This is all kinds of lush😍
  2. I've had a couple of svt's in the past and sold on ( old weight thing).... But am sorely tempted by this. There is nothing quite like the sound and feel of all valve svt😍
  3. After using many different variations of p pickups over the years, I too am using the tonerider..... Absolutely love the even vintage sound from it. And at that price, awesome.... Just blows a lot of much pricier pup's out the water. I may be way off the mark.... But sure I read somewhere that these are what might be used in limelight basses?
  4. Good man, only regret it down the line
  5. I will do. I've got no warrenty etc mind. It's odd, I've just flicked the power switch on and off quickly, plugged it back in..... And presto it's working fine? Had a good play no problems...... Turned it off and back on, protect mode again with no action?? Could it be simple asthe on/off power switch I'm wondering?
  6. Gutted. My R400 has gone into protect mode and stays there. Nothing is loose inside, tubes are OK and no scorch marks or smells/smoke?? Anyone had this issue? Hoping it's something simple 😞 Fuses are all fine as well
  7. Gain at a quarter, high cranked, low just from cranked and going through the mixer output ( has a cab SIM on it) .....the bad monkey is still one of my favourite overdrives ever 🙂 . Great low drive cutting grit.
  8. I have a fairly new xtomp mini pedal if anyone has a mxr carbon copy they fancy trading? Absolutely awesome sounding effects ,amps, and cab Sims on this thing, pleanty of bass options ( b7k ,Ampeg etc) and sooo simple to use.very nice and solid metal casing I'm just finding with my pedal board all I'm using with it is the ambient stuff. Comes with box box etc only a couple of weeks old. https://m.thomann.de/gb/hotone_xtomp_mini_modeling_effect.htm The xtomp app is on play/apple store if anyone wants to look.....many many awesome true sounding pedals on their database to use, so simple to Bluetooth even your nan could do it 😄
  9. Mine has completely stopped any amp gas for a while.love it
  10. Mine has a gotoh 201 as well, easy fit and a great bridge
  11. Ditto! Many basses have come and gone, but that Freeman neck is sooo nice ( for me anyways) it ain't going anywhere,if anyone has the chance to buy one do it! .......although I've changed every bit of hardware, pickups, wiring and a cheeky logo 😄
  12. I have the head version as a spare......and dang! It's a right loud amp for stated watts. Although it has a valve pre channel I found the solid state one is more musical and punchy
  13. What gets the most gas here? I have a nice P bass, but over many many years my main gas! And spending has always been focused on amps, cabs and effects.... Oi love trying them more tbh What direction do us bass addicts vere more towards 😄 ?
  14. Mine is the mini one ..... Only difference in effects is I can't use combined and specials ( no Biggie for me). Only cost 65 squid new, and it's worth that for the trem/delay hotone original effect on there ( it's fab). Nice solid feeling metal pedal, Apparently they are exactly the same effects as their new ampero ( helix type) multi pedal. So if anyone is wanting to try that but dont fancy the gamble ( not many bass reviews about) £65 is a good way to tell, and could easily sell it on if you want the ampero
  15. I'm pretty sorted for my band/live effects board ,but I wanted something simple to use at home to try lots of flavours.....this thing is ace! Could not be any easier to use. The replications of effects are fantastic imo and really feel like the real thing.the ambient sounds are what I wanted and very pleased with their offerings Was looking into other multi effects but simplicity is no1 Anyone else had a bash on one? Plenty of bass stuff on it ( dark glass, amps cabs etc)with free pedals added every month. http://www.xtomp.com/ If anyone's after a very simple to use one effect at a time pedal that sounds great I'd Def recommend this
  16. £40 posted before I keep it in my draw.
  17. Good condition,no box . £43 posted. Pics later
  18. Sorry man, I meant to say I'm all sorted on the fuzz front now. Cheers anyhoos
  19. £45 for this brand new pre posted . Won't go lower
  20. Gassing heavily for one of these atm, but funds are going up..very slowly. Soon I'll have one.
  21. Been many years since I played a original green russian, hard to say it's identical. Having sweepable mid's ,clean blend and a gate bolted to the green russian reissue is absolute fun. They only "bass" comparison I can find
  22. Just got a sovtec deluxe ( on sale at gak)..been meaning to try this for a while as I loved the russian reissue but it was missing the thing this has. And my lord! It's everything I ever wanted in a fuzz. Surprised you don't see many of these on boards around......so happy with it 🙂
  23. I'll check em out,cheers
  24. Anyone recommend a set of 110 strings similar to Ernie Ball 110 slinky's that have a bit more longevity? Cheers
