1. Are these still available? I know there were issues with supply, thanks.
2. Ive just replaced an adjustable bridge with a solid one , the sdjusters were not goog when amplified, really messed the sound up. why not have a solid fitted with a higher action?
3. where did you get them from? this sounds interesting..
4. if you have some old twine from the local hardware store that will do fine. tea chest bases are great fun, I even made a left handed one for buddy of mine . he just couldnt get the hang of my right handed one..
5.
I would get the Behringer GI100 and connect it between your head and cab, enable the speaker emulation and then just let him plug into it. No need for mixing signals, or mics. That alone should sound fine!
DONT do this! the high powered signal from the amps speaker outs will wreak havoc on such a piece of kit
6. Elvis' TCB Band , ive surprised myself with that choice!
7. IN Kay M1 upright (thanks SLOBLUESINE) Squire VM Bass VI OUT Nowt
8. if im not mistaken you should avoid it. google it for details but it seems a bad idea, you will still end up paying import duties here.
9. theyl soon change minds if one third of the bands says its leaving
10. if its still as smooth as the day it was born I'll take it , thanks
11. i found the Indian sourced guts to be slightly thinner and a lot quieter than the Lenzners. Clefs and Lenzners are identical in every way , which makes me think that the Clefs are just rebranded
12.
No probs man, I know the feeling, good luck with the sale.
I have a Rev on my rehearsal bass, I would do a straight swap for the planet wing if you fancy it.
13. check Nunos playing on You tube, Nuno Alexander, he plays with lots of folks , top notch stuff
14. I wish I could give one another go after reading this thread now.
15. on a gig once only, I was looking forward to tryng ona as I had read good things.have to say I was dissapointed, I only had a 10 minute fumble about before the gig but I came away thinking it was underpowered for its rating and the eq was pretty ineffectual.maybe if I had more time....
16. im sure there would be an even bigger market for Far East sourced guitars
17. there was a King Slapking on fleabay just a couple of weeks ago , dont know if its gone or not
18. IMO using a Fishman Pro Platinum preamp will alow you to get a more than decent sound from almost any amp , my search stopped when I realised this..

20.
Slightly off topic, but interesting non the less A good way to remember the series of flats and sharps in a key is to picture a 6 string bass. Start with the G string, one sharp, next string is D, 2 sharps, next A 3 sharps, E 4 sharps, B 5 sharps, you run out of strings then but next it'd be F#. Flats picture the notes at the 1st fret, C none, F 1, Bb 2, Eb 3, Ab 4, Db 5 then it'd Gb which has 6.
i like this
21. apply the ruling to the key F# , and you have an E# in the scale 😡
